Design of a Crash-Test Dummy
Sedláčková, Martina ; Coufal, Tomáš (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis is construction of crash test dummy for vehicle-pedestrian crash tests. There is review of nowadays used crash test dummies types in the introduction of this thesis. This is followed by part describing construction itself. Chapter about construction begins by characterizing of used materials features in relation with real human body physiology. Main part of chapter is describing construction of crash test dummy’s skeleton and its individual components including 3D modelling and strength analysis. Thesis is finished by cost assessment.
Classification of thorax diseases on chest X-ray images using artificial intelligence
Specifics of physiotherapy in patients with bronchial asthma
KONEČNÁ, Tereza
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy in patients with asthma bronchiale. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to describe the problem of bronchial asthma and to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy for patients suffering from asthma. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a comprehensive description of the disease, specifically definition, prevalence, etiopathogenesis, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, classification of the disease and treatment options. The anatomy of the respiratory system, respiratory muscles, a description of physiological breathing and its pathology in asthmatics is also included. A relatively large part of the theoretical part consists of physiotherapy options. Asthma bronchiale is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract manifested by symptoms of bronchial obstruction such as dyspnoea, cough, wheezing phenomena when breathing and chest pressure. The disease can be accompanied by asthma attacks of varying frequency and severity, which can be life-threatening. The cause of these difficulties is the presence of chronic inflammation in the bronchi together with their hyperreactivity. The prevalence of asthma continues to rise worldwide, along with the increasing prevalence of allergic diseases, which may be influenced by the worsening air quality. Asthma bronchiale is an incurable disease that affects people of all ages. With timely diagnosis and the use of pharmacological treatment, the symptoms of the disease can be eliminated and thus the disease can be controlled. Diseases of the respiratory system also have a negative effect on the musculoskeletal system, so physiotherapy has its place in the comprehensive treatment of asthma. Physiotherapy treatment focuses mainly on restoring the correct breathing pattern, correcting body posture, eliminating muscle imbalances and improving physical fitness. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to propose physiotherapy procedures suitable for patients with bronchial asthma and to evaluate their effect. The form of qualitative research has been chosen for the practical part. The research includes 3 case studies of adult patients with asthma. Input and output kinesiology examinations have been performed, based on which comparison the results have been described

The influence of postural ontogenesis on morphological development of trunk
Hladíková, Veronika ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Šafářová, Marcela (referee)
This bachelor thesis engages in an influence of postural ontogenesis on formation of anatomical structures of trunk. Postural ontogenesis depends on maturation of the central nervous system, which stimulates automatic, accurately timed recruitment of muscles to posture. At the same time with postural muscle activation, morphogenesis of the skeleton is finishing. As a consequence of abnormal motor development, there are deviations in bone shape and in setting of joints. The thesis is focused on the description of a morphological development of spinal curves, thorax and abdominal wall. The development of cervical lordosis and the shape of the upper part of thorax is linked to the development of motor functions of upper limbs. The significant milestone is an ability to lift and hold head above the surface in prone position. The development of lumbar lordosis and the shape of the lower part of thorax is determined by motor functions of lower limbs, which are firstly manifested by lifting lower limbs in supine position. The development of sitting, stance and gait plays a crucial role. The development of abdominal wall is assessed by presence, or rather absence of diastasis recti abdominis, which is related to the quality of muscle coordination in this area. Practical part of the thesis devotes to...
Kinematic of cervical thoracic spine in the context of whole body posture
Vláčilová, Ivana ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee) ; Ravnik, David (referee)
Title: Kinematic of cervical thoracic spine in the context of whole body posture Problematics: This work describes the kinematics of upper thoracic spine during specific movement of the shoulder girdle. The kinematic changes are evaluated with the relationship of the whole body posture. Aim: To develop the objective evaluation of the posture and the amount of the segmental spinal movement of cervical thoracic spine. To describe the relationship between the specific movement of arm - adduction and external humeral rotation - and the posture using 3D kinematic analysis. To objectify this tested movement as a diagnostic tool or a therapy for forward head posture. Methods: The theoretical part of this work summarizes the current knowledge of poor posture and there is defined the upright posture. The experimental part describes the measurement of the movement of shoulder girdle and its response to the axial system using 3D kinematic analysis. Result: The results of kinematic 3D motion analysis show that the external humeral rotation with adduction of the shoulder leads to the upright posture if there is the horizontal position of the thorax and pelvis. The posture was divided due to the physiological or pathological response with this simple movement. Conclusion: A new model for evaluation of the...
Vliv adipokinetického hormonu na působení jedu z vosičky, \kur{Habrobracon hebetor}, ve svalové tkáni octomilky, \kur{Drosophila melanogaster}
PODLAHOVÁ, Šárka
Adipokinetic hormone (AKH) delays or reduces neuromuscular paralysis caused by the venom of the parasitic wasp Habrobracon hebetor, however the associated mechanism is not known yet. This thesis describes in detail the technique of preparation of semithin and ultrathin sections analyzed by a transmission electron microscopy that enabled detailed observation of changes in muscular ultrastructure of the Drosophila melanogaster thorax after the wasp venom and AKH treatments. The results revealed that the wasp venom induced significant changes in the ultrastructure of myofibrils and mitochondria; however, the changes were reduced after co-application with AKH. AKH itself did not affect organization of muscle fibres but elicited vacuolization in mitochondria. Furthermore the wasp venom treatment led to significant prolongation of sarcomeres.
