Predicting spark-ignition engine emissions
Jirout, Petr ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibility of predicting emissions of SI engines. The aim was to create an algorithm for predicting unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, based on ECU signals. The algorithm is based on practical experiments with SI engines. In the summary, the issues and the possible use of the created algorithm following the incorporation of EU7 are outlined.
Yield and quality of hemp (Cannabis sativa) grown in organic and conventional farming
KAŠPAR, Jan
Hemp is an ancient crop that has a wide range of uses compared to commonly grown crops. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of variety and cultivation system on the yield of total biomass, amount of flowers, leaves, achenes and plant waste, the thousand achene weight, the proportion of size fractions of achenes, the proportion of shelled aschenes and husks and the yield of oil. Hemp cultivation can be recommended for organic farming, because hemp plants had significantly the higher weight of female plants and the yield of total biomass in green and dry matter in t/ha both at flowering and at the end of vegetation perod. They also had the higher production of inflorescences and leaves, and the production of achenes. The cultivation systems are comparable in the proportion of coating layers of achenes and the thousand achene weight. The conventional system was significantly better in the proportion of oil in the achenes and the proportion of the size fraction of achenes above 3.5 mm. When comparing the varieties, a higher yield of biomass and achenes was achieved for the variety Santhica 70 from conventional production (Meclov), namely 57.3 t/ha and 1.5 t/ha. The yield of flowers and leaves was higher from organic production (Chlum) in the Fedora 17 variety, namely 3.08 /ha. The higher proportion of oil in hemp achenes was determined for the variety Santhica 70 from conventional production (Sušice) at 16.5%.
Cannabinoids and Time Perception
Popova, Anastasia ; Nekovářová, Tereza (advisor) ; Honc, Ondřej (referee)
Interval timing (i.e.the perception of time in the seconds-to-minutes range) allows various animal species including humans to estimate duration of elapsed time. This process can be disrupted by cannabinoids and most often it is subjectively perceived as time deceleration. This work will describe the main models of interval timing, neuroanatomical structures involved in this process, and the main neurotransmitters. The results of studies examining the effect of cannabinoid on the interval timing, possible explanations according to the particular models, and the interaction between the cannabinoid and dopaminergic systems will be described as well. Keywords: interval timing, time perception, cannabinoids, dopamine
Effects of long-term use of hemp substances
Horynová, Rebecca ; Ondrušová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Krahulcová, Beáta (referee)
The thesis was divided into two parts. The first part deals with selected long-term impacts of cannabis use and basic concepts such as history, methods of application, use or legislation. In order to understand the whole issue, the basic components of the cannabis plant and their effects. The main part of the theory was then devoted to the possibilities of social work in the field of addiction, but also health complications and therapeutic effects of cannabis. The first part was built on a professional basis literature that addresses this topic. As the work dealt with a very current topic, the latest HARP treatment program was also mentioned. In the second part of the work semi-structured interviews were performed in order to confirm the theoretical part of the work and bring a certain authenticity to the work. The goal was to offer to the reader comprehensive information about cannabis in one place, clearly and transparently. The negatives and the positives that this plant can cause as a result of use were analyzed.

Možnosti využitia technického konope
Balog, Nikolas
ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using technical hemp. The first part deals with botanical characteristics, morphology and anatomics, content substances. A significant part deals with the yield of cannabis raw materials, their composition and processing in various sectors. In the practical part, it deals primarily with hybridization and cultivation under controlled conditions and other methods such as vegetative reproduction of hemp plants.
Vplyv vonkajších faktorov na produkciu sekundárnych metabolitov u rodu konope
Bartoš, Jakub
This bachalor work was focused on external factors and their effect on plants secondary metabolic products. Theoretical section is dedicated on morphological and botanical charakteristic and history of cannabis plant. In section is also information from medical and research field from effect area of cannabis. Work discuss the most important secondary metabolites, their signal pathways, centres and meaning for plants and humankind. Practical section is dedicated on external effect of nutrients and environment on final product. The aim of this experiment was compare effect of anorganic fertilizers vs organic fertilizers. The biggest yield of flowers were from nutient group with weight 17.87 grams. The biggest CBD concentration was in organic group with 11.3 % and the biggest THC concetration was in control group 0.446 %. We could observe differences between groups in height, field or metabolites concetration but it wasn´t statistically conclusiv
Vliv skladování na změny obsahových látek konopí
Vomáčka, Vít
This thesis deals with the effect of storage of cannabis on the level of content of its active substances. The theoretical portion focuses on a botanical characteristics sum-mary. It further describes the growing needs and options of cannabis on the fields and of medical cannabis in covered areas. Portion of the thesis deals with the use of each individual parts of the cannabis plant. The thesis contains detailed description of canna-binoids and other substances. It further describes the effect of individual external factors on the stability of cannabinoids in cannabis products. The last part of the theore-tical section deals with the ability to analyze cannabinoids. The goal of the experimental section was to discover effects of different type of storage on the level of content of cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in cannabis samples. The setting included a gas chromatograph GC Fisons instruments with FID detector. These samples were regularly collected and ex-tracted during the period of one year. Retention periods of individual cannabinoids and calibration curves were created. The results showed a reduction of cannabinoids in higher temperatures. The results further confirmed storage of vacuumed materials at -20 °C temperature as the most appropriate type of storage for female inflorescence of can-nabis.
Vliv externích faktorů na produkci vybraných sekundárních metabolitů u konopí
Palíšek, Ondřej
Presented diploma thesis is focused on production of secondary metabolites under influence of external factors.in cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.). Theoretival part contains phylogenetical, morphological and botanical characterization of the given species. The part is further expanded by description of major cannabis constituents and their biosynthetic pathways. In the end of the chapter, methods for elicitation are described. Main goal of the experimental part was to compare influence of vaious fertilizers and product containing coloid silver on morphological characteristics and selected secondary metabolites content. Highest yield was observed within plants fertilized by Powder Feeding. Highest THC content was observed in plants fertilized by Jungle in da Box. Variation of height, yield and secondary metabolites within experimental population was observed, however was not statistically conclusive. Influence of Altron Silver was not statistically proven.

Title: Effect of cannabis in sports training. Objectives: * Present the physiological and psychological effects of cannabis on human body. * Identify harmful and beneficial effects of cannabis consumption in people who partake in recreational sporting activities as well as competitive athletes. * Identify the perception of cannabis use in the sports world. Methods: * Detailed literature research on cannabis and its primary components. * Literature research on scientific requirements of sports training. * Systematic review of previous surveys and experiments regarding the effects of cannabis on sports exercise parameters. * Preparing a questionnaire for sportspeople (current and former Turkish and Czech American football players in general) and analyzing the results. Results: * There hasn't been many recent scientific research about the specific effects of cannabis ingestion in sports performance. * There are some beneficial attributes of cannabis in sport training as well as performance hindering attributes and potentially dangerous side effects. * Questionnaire participants generally do not think cannabis is a performance- enhancing substance. * There exists contrary opinions, beliefs and scientific evidence on almost all of the aspects of cannabis and its use in sport. Keywords: cannabis, sport,...
