Atypical use of a carousel lathe
Ondráček, Ivo ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The first part of the diploma thesis deals with a brief research of turning operations and the characteristic of vertical lathes with description of individual parts. There are described possibilities and a typical vertical lathe assortment and also representatives of Czech manufacturers of vertical lathes. In the second part, the thesis deals with elaboration of the design technology production of the selected component, including the NC program. First, a component and material is selected, a semi-finished product is designed, suitable machines and tools are selected and finally a technological process of production is developed. The conclusion of the thesis contains the technical–economic evaluation, where the total costs of production are solved.
PREDICTION OPERATIONAL ACCURACY OF THE CNC MACHINING CENTRE
Michalíček, Michal ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Skýpala, Milan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The main research topic of this dissertation thesis deals with the influence of the working accuracy related to large CNC machines on the required workpiece properties. The state-of-the art has constantly been developed and the customer’s requirements directed to manufacturers of the machine tools are increasingly demanding. There is required a high accuracy, reliability, shortening delivery times etc. The manufacturer is expected to fulfill all the customer’s requirements. The machining accuracy is dependent, among others, on the positioning accuracy of a machine tool that represents the position of the cutting tool relative to a workpiece. The accuracy of a particular machine tool is therefore a limiting factor concerned with reaching the highest accuracy and quality of a workpiece. Acceptance test procedures are initially realized within a manufacturing shop floor and then within a customer environment. The main subject of the testing procedures is to verify. basic properties of a machine tool such as basic dimensions of a machine, strokes in all respective coordinates, machine travels and spindle speeds. A machining of a workpiece with a desired precision specified by the customer is also performed. In this thesis, a new methodology to calculate and determine errors concerned with machining on vertical lathes is proposed with the aim of predicting the machining accuracy of CNC machine tools. The objective of this work was to determine the influence of machining accuracy of a CNC machine in connection with a subsequent geometrical accuracy of a workpiece. Considered position of a tool relative to a workpiece will be affected by errors concerned with a kinematical inaccuracy, geometrical errors and errors related to machining forces. A vertical lathe SKIQ 30 produced by TOSHULIN, a.s. has been used as a testing machine on which the proposed methodology has been verified. During processing various calculations in this thesis there has been found out that the machining inaccuracy of the machine – main topic of interest – is influenced by the machining conditions such as cutting conditions, material to be machined and even the setting of working positions of the machine. For instance, a position of the cross slide is determined by a workpiece height and a position of the lathe carriage that is determined by a workpiece diameter and a travel of the slide that is also determined by a workpiece height. It can be stated then that to predict the machining accuracy of work pieces, it is important to know the behavior of the machine in its all range of working envelope. Based on the information acquired about the behavior of the machine, it can be determined an appropriate position for a workpiece setting that allows utilizing the maximum reachable accuracy with respect to the stiffness and geometrical accuracy of the machine tool. An appropriate setting of initial working position may influence the subsequent geometrical accuracy of a workpiece.
Polymerconcret Frame of Vertical Lathe
Buksa, Jan ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Foller, Bronislav (advisor)
This work describes construction and calculation of vertical lathe bed designed by request of company TOSHULIN. Apart from a sum of theoretical knowledge, the information contained in it should also serve in practice as a comprehensive guidance for construction vertical lathe bed from this material. The approach is specific by reason of that is necessary to observe functional proportions at contemporary producing part, which is usied for construction vertical lathes. There is a design of construction in this work, which gives better results mechanic, dynamic and thermal features of this part in some way.
Design of Pick-up magazine for heavy milling heads
Malík, Tomáš ; Kukleta, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to propose solutions to difficult conveyor NC milling head, the machine produced in CKD Blansko type SKD 63/70D. Movement lies in moving from the parking position to the plunger, where the head harness. Solutions include calculations to those proposals, select the most appropriate solutions and selected drawings.
Replacement of big diametral bearing at mounting of vertically lathe table
Sklenář, Jaroslav ; Skýpala, Milan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This dissertation deals with table seating at a vertical lathe made by TOSHULIN, a.s. The target is to design such table seating which would replace the existing seating solution with a cross bearing having better technical and economical parameters. The dissertation includes analysis of some chosen variants of table seating; this analysis has been done from several aspects and it is completed by the subsequent evaluation. After the results of multi criterion analysis have been evaluated, I performed calculation as well as designing of two table seating variants in the practical dissertation part.
Grinding Angle Box Unit for Vertical Boring and Turning Machine
Zouhar, Michal ; Kukleta, Pavel (referee) ; Foller, Bronislav (advisor)
My diploma thesis solves project of grinding angle box unit for vertical boring and turning machine which extends technological possibilities of vertical lathe SKD 40/47D. The submitter ČKD Blansko Holding, a.s. demanded to work out assembly drawing, 3 construction drawings and necessary calculations. Spindle drive of grinding unit is implemeted by the aid of engine which is deposit in the sliding machine. Chucking equipment is realised with standart system which is used by ČKD Blansko.
Finishing of large products on a carousel
Straka, David ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is created a technological process for manufacturing a bearing shield component on a vertical lathe. The thesis deals with selecting the semi-finished product, machines, tools and gauges. The thesis includes a technical-economic evaluation of the proposed production variant, where the costs of material, electricity and tools are calculated.
Design of small vertical turning machine
Rybář, Pavel ; Sýkora, Jan (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
Task of this project is design of small vertical lathe. First part is focused on theory of turning technology, sort of lathe types, overview of vertical lathes including description of componets which vertical lathes consist of. At the second part of this project there is performed a propose of the machined part and a propose of cutting machine. The last part of this project provides base structure calculations and analysis needed for design proposal of a small vertical lathe according to specified parametres.
Grinding Box Unit for Vertical Boring and Turning Machine
Pavlék, Radim ; Kukleta, Pavel (referee) ; Foller, Bronislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis solves grinding box unit for vertical boring and turning machine for ČKD Blansko. For fixing is used standard fixing system used in ČKD Blansko. Spindle is drived by engine placed in slide ram. Engine can be also used for milling box unit. Grinding box unit must stand operating load. Using of automatic balancing system is also solved in this project.
