Technology of production part
Straka, Jiří ; Dvořák, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is developed within my Master’s degree studies, branch mechanical engineering (M21 K), and specialization in M STM. The aim of this thesis is to solve the technology of mechanical production (machining, tooling) for the machine component called ‚shape lid‘. I execute the analysis of this technology from the perspective of the conventional machining process, and alternatively, some of the non conventional machining process, too. Conventional machining process is so far used for manufacturing of this sort of machine’s element. It‘s implying laborious work difficulties, even it’s economically disadvantageous. I suggest a new technology of manufacturing. At first, a semi-finished component could be sized by conventional machining process, and then it could be finished by the CNC (computer numerical control) milling machine. By the non-conventional machining process assume the usage of an electro-erosive machining, plasma machining, or water jet machining.Conventional technology suppose the usage of CNC milling machines. Thereinafter, feasibility aspects of this brand new technology are considered in technical and economical perspective.
Reliability of Lead-free Solders and the Selected Methods to Estimate its Lifetime
Švecová, Olga ; Kolařík, Vladimír (referee) ; Urbánek,, Jan (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
The doctoral thesis is focused on reliability of lead-free solder SAC 305. Knowledge in the field of fatigue models used in determining the lifetime of solder joints are observed in this thesis. Also such methods of predicting reliability as numerically-analytical methods or reliability experimental tests are mentioned. Practical results of reliability measurement are presented. Experimental data served as the foundation for determining empirical coefficients for the fatigue model based on deformation induced by creep of the solder, which was implemented in the ANSYS environment. Results from different methods were compared and conclusions discussing the suitability of the presented prediction methods are formulated.
Technological Design of Part "impeller"
Kotrsal, Miloš ; Kubík, Roman (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This work is analysing existing technologies of paddle wheel production in a concrete engineering company which is engaged in turbochargers production. It is a breakdown analysis of technology from semi-finished product production to technological process of parts production, processing machines and tools. Here is proposed a new process of production technology. In the conlusion there is shown technical-economical comparison of existing and new technology.
Numeric simulation of surfacing turbine rotors pinot pins
Tkaný, Jan ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The master´s diploma thesis elaborated as the master's degree M-STG Manufacturing Technology solves surfacing problems in the simulations of surfacing turbine rotors pinot pins. The work was seen as a preparatory work before the real surfacing. Topic commissioned by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd. For welding plates test has been used the method of SAW and the base material was identical to turbine rotor material, X22CrMoV 12-1. Additional material was Fluxocord 42. Simulations were carried out in programs SYSWELD and Visual - WELD. The output of the simulation software are temperature and stress fields, material structures and creations of the CCT diagrams at the base material, filler material, and mixed area.
Anticorrosive protection of steam turbines rotors surface
Špičková, Petra ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
This project was elaborated under the graduate major program 2307 of masters engineering studies. It presents a proposal of anticorrosive protection of steam turbines rotors surface. Based on a literature recherché on automated welding and surfacing under flux, an optimized technology of surfacing of anticorrosive and antierosive layers at output parts of low-pressure sections of rotors will be presented. The optimization of the welding technology will be performed to minimize the possibility of hidden cracks due to application of anticorrosive protective surface and will be evaluated on test samples provided by the company SIEMENS.
Microstructure and hardness of bainitic weld deposits on rails
Havlík, Petr ; Stránský, Karel (referee) ; Foret, Rudolf (advisor)
Surfacing worn crane railways as renovation technology can make several possible ways, so as manual welding whit coated electrode, with filled electrode or automatic submerged arc. The resulting mechanical properties will depend on the additional materials, which was used to create surfacing. This thesis deals whit evaluation of integrity and microstructure single - layer to three - layer surfacing with filled electrode on the rail with predominantly pearlitic structure. Were evaluated areas with the greatest heat dissipation during cooling, due to the possible occurrence of side structures. The study employed the interaction light microscopy, the scanning electron microscopy equipped by energy dispersive chemical microanalysis, the macro and micro hardness measurement by Vickers.
Numeric simulation of the turbine rotor surfacing
Durajová, Věra ; Slováček, Marek (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The project elaborated in frame of engineering studies, solves the problem of restoration of the damaged hinge groove blades, and the surfacing of cylindrical faces of the SAW method, using additional material TOPCORE 838 B. The turbine rotor is made from steel with high resistance temperature 30CrMoNiV5-11. Based on literature studies and issues surfacing calculation, it was established that will preheat the material. The issue was solved by using simulation program SYSWELD.
Suggested Changes After Prototype I Testing

Optical design description of rectangular spot of laser head. Our target was TOP HAT intensity distribution of rectangular spot for laser surfacing.
The victimization of women by men - "hunters" and "consumers" - in Margaret Atwood's novels The Edible Woman and Surfacing
Skřivanová, Martina ; Kolinská, Klára (advisor) ; Jindra, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the early works of the Canadian writer Margaret Atwood - novels The Edible Woman (1969) and Surfacing (1972). The thesis focuses on victimization and objectification of the female characters through photography and consumption. The two topics are crucial for the two "body" chapters of the thesis. The first chapter deals with Susan Sontag's and Roland Barthes' theory of photography, and applies it to both novels. With the help of a camera, the man takes control over the woman. Similarly to a gun, it is a device with a release one can easily press to overpower its subject and turn it into a trophy - an object in its unalterable position one can manipulate with easily. Therefore, the thesis also explores the parallels between female and animal victims and hunting. Roland Barthes in his Camera Lucida (1980) analyses posing in front of the photographer. He is convinced that at the moment of picture taking the person waiting for the pull of the trigger transforms themselves into an object and thus loses their real self - with this version of the portrayed person, the photographer can manipulate according to his will. The gaze of the camera is unscrupulous and predatory; the thesis elaborates on it by the feminist theory of Laura Mulvey, who in her anthology Visual and Other...
