Subdivision Surfaces
Otočka, Dávid ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Sumec, Stanislav (advisor)
The object of my bachelor work was to create a library, that will realise the technique of Subdivision Surfaces and demonstrate the functionality of the library on different examples. The library as well as the program is written by using C++ language, for window creation is used WinAPI and for work with the graphics OpenGL. There are three implemented algorithms and those are Butterfly, Loop and Catmull-Clark. For demonstration are used few basic objects, that are implemented directly in the library.
Approximation surfaces for 3D data
Valachová, Alžbeta ; Novák, Jiří (referee) ; Procházková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with approximation surfaces for 3D data using methods such as RANSAC, least square method and B-spline surface. Its goal is to study and program these methods. First, the methods are described and then the actual programs are analysed. In the end of the thesis, we compare all three methods using data from 3D scanning. Through this effort we can assess their positives and negatives.
Surfaces with constant Gauss curvature
Zemanová, Silvie ; Kureš, Miroslav (referee) ; Doupovec, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with description of surfaces with constant Gaussian curvature and its main goal is to classify these surfaces. The first part is devoted to the classification of surfaces of revolution with constant Gaussian curvature. The next part consists of description of selected surfaces with zero Gaussian curvature, on which is shown that the same shape of the first fundamental form can be achieved. The last part deals with the classification of all surfaces with zero Gaussian curvature. For easier understanding of the text, the thesis includes images of selected surfaces.
Interactive web applications supporting education of 3D graphics
Morávek, Jan ; Mokrý, Ondřej (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on computer 3D graphics and the implementation of educational applications in JavaScript language. Discussed topics of computer graphics include object transformations, Bezier patches and the role of the camera in the scene. The thesis describes the basic theory of these areas and educational applications. The thesis also includes the detailed description of the features and the implementation of the created applications. In the end of the thesis possible extensions are discussed.
Geodesics
Čambalová, Kateřina ; Tomáš, Jiří (referee) ; Doupovec, Miroslav (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to create an overivew of geodesics. At the beginning of their study, they were considered shortest paths connecting two points on surfaces. In the thesis we will show more of the complexity of the term and introduced the properties, some uses of the geodesics and methods of their computation. Later, the Clairaut patches and their geodesics will be analysed. Clairaut patches are characterized by a specific property which makes computation of geodesics simpler. 3D plots of some Clairaut patches and their geodesics are also included.
Statistical analysis of the influence of body height of ATP players on the success of their game
Nechanický, Michal ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Statistical analysis of the influence of body height of ATP players on the success of their game Objectives: The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to determine whether a player's body height affects his position in the ATP rankings and whether it affects the effectiveness of his serve. At the same time, I will investigate the possible influence of surfaces on player's serve statistics and his position in the ATP rankings. Methods: The mentioned monitoring was determined on a sample of TOP 200 players of the ATP ranking. Mathematical-statistical analysis of the data was carried out by collecting the data reported on the official ATP website. The results of my investigation were compared with similar characteristics of selected professional literature. Results: Mathematical-statistical analysis showed a loose correlation between a player's body height and his position in the ATP rankings. Furthermore, a stronger correlation was shown between serve statistics and ranking and between serve statistics and player height. This correlation changes with the type of surface, where the most closeness to the player's position in the ATP ranking or his body height is shown by the serve statistics of the player serving on a hard surface. Keywords: Tennis, body height, serve, surfaces, ATP

Drawing graphs on surfaces of small genus
Tomášek, Jan ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Šámal, Robert (referee)
Although there are many algorithms for drawing graphs on arbitrary surfaces, surprisingly few of them have been practically implemented. This thesis designs a user-friendly graphical interface for drawing graphs and torus, which allows checking the results of algorithms. The program supports displaying the surfaces in the polygonal representation and in their 3-dimension embedding. Furthermore we survey the algorithms for drawing graphs on surfaces and discuss their implementability. We chose one of the algorithms and evaluate its performance. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
