The impact of CAP on czech agricultural system

The diploma thesis looks into the impact of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU on agrarian sector of Czech Republic. The target of this diploma thesis is to determine wheter the accession within the EU and application of the CAP policies has had positive or negative influences on Czech agriculture. The first chapter, explains the craetion, targets and principles of the CAP. Next, discusses reforms and changes that influences Czech Republic, and describes how is the system financed thorought history. The chapter that follows, is about Czech agriculture sector. It's analyses it's development after 1989 and the agricultural policy before and after EU accession. The final and last chapter shows tangible financial payments from EU to the Czech Republic. The presented work "Common Agricultural Policy of the EU and the WTO: An impediment to further liberalization of world trade" deals with the EU's role of actor in global trade liberalization, to which the WTO is an institutional tool, with an emphasis on how and whether the experience of building a free European market was reflected in its inception. The area, to which the research was limited, agriculture and its foreign trade ramifications, not only represents a key source of strategic commodities for the physical survival of humanity as a species, but equally an essential factor in economic development of less developed countries of the world and also consume a significant part of the European common budget. Using comparison and confrontation of the WTO's legal-technical framework with the rules and principles of the CAP it notes the apparent inconsistency of the two systems, which is further pronounced in Europe, which played a key role in the creation of the WTO and its predecessor, GATT. The final case studies subject the details of deregulation of trade in certain agricultural commodities deeper analysis, with the aim of illustration of the hypotheses about apparent inconsistencies between the principles governing the CAP, and the rules governing international trade throughout the world. The Common Agricultural Policy of the EU is one of the most important policies of the EU. The CAP is primarily engaged in providing sufficient food production, export and import of agricultural products, in development and innovation of the agriculture, rural development and in the improvement of living and working of the agricultural workers. The EU CAP was created to coordinate the different agricultural priorities of the member states and to find the optimal form of cooperation beneficial for the agriculture of the all participating states. The Common Agricultural Policy has been constantly evolving. Its coordination and functioning requires considerable financial costs and extensive legislative action. Currently, it is a very actual and important topic, that is why the CAP is the subject of this thesis. Bachelor thesis focuses on the European union and the Russian Federation sanction politics, which is related to the crisis of Ukraine. The aim of work is evaluation of the impact of the Russian embargo on the agrarian sector of the European Union and Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of work I describe sanction politics, its appliaction by the European Union and the working of joint agricultural politics. The practical part is focused on the year 2014 and the first half of 2015, namely the course of the Ukrainan situation and the related sanction politics. Next I present the Russian embargo on imported food (Foodstuffs), the situation on the world market with agricultural products and the impact of the embargo on the market of agricultural products on members of EU with third world countries and the Russian Federation. Then bachelor thesis shows the impact of the decree on the agricultural sector of EU and the Czech Republic where I prove the knowledge of wrongfully aimed sanctions in a global scale and their quantification for the agrarian sector of the EU and the Czech Republic.
The EU Common Agricultural Policy focused on the Dairy Market in the period of 1984 - 2011

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP), its principles of financing and ways of regulation. Analysis will be accomplished with special consideration of the dairy sector, namely in 1984 -- 2011. Evolution of milk prices and other dairy product prices will be compared in relation to changes in the CAP. The CAP has been recently a frequently discussed issue in all EU member states. Dairy market is influenced by CAP reforms and its future development is quite uncertain. Significant changes can be observed in recent years. The theoretical part will deal with principles of economic regulation. Instruments of government price intervention will be defined, including price floors, export subsidies, state intervention buyings, production quotas. Analysis of the CAP, particularly of the dairy market, will be the issue of the practical part of this bachelor thesis. The position of the CAP will be defined in the framework of other common EU policies. Its principles, aims, financing and historical development will be defined as well. This thesis focuses on the period after the year 1984, when the most significant reforms of the CAP took place, starting with the implementation of the milk quotas. Reform steps in the dairy sector, intervention on the market and implementation of milk quotas will be analysed in the Czech Republic and in other EU countries as well.

My bachelor thesis is focused o the questions of liberalization of trade in agriculture concerning EU Common Agricultural Policy. Difficulties of the round of liberalization at present threaten especially developing countries which are very deendent on agriculture. Howewer, it has benn proved during the Uruguay round that treir influence grows. Therefore there is even more preassure on CAP to be reformed. Simoultaneously the inability of WTO to successfuly close the Doha round weakens its prestige. Therefore, the last chapter is focused on the perspectives of WTO and multilateralims as a trend that can be in the future replaced by the trend of regionalism.
Chosen Issues of the Czech Republic Agriculture after the Entrance into the European Union

The subject of presented bachelor thesis deals with current problems and trends in the Czech Republic agricultural sector. The Czech Republic entered the European Union in 2004. After the entry into the European Union, the Czech Republic implemented rules and conditions of the common agricultural policy. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to signalize some of the problems which Czech agriculture has to face and to propose possible alternative solutions of these issues. The meantioned issues are especially different level of direct payments between new member states and the old members of the European Union, enforcement of international retail chain stores on farmers'prices, price instability on agricultural markets, low production intensity and poor farmers'earnings.
The influence of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union on the Czech international trade with agrarian products

Submitted diploma work deals with the Common Agricultural Policy of European Union and its influence on the Czech international trade with agrarian products. Main objective of this thesis is to highlight the changes in agricultural international trade after the Czech Republic's EU accession, which also meant a full adoption of principles of the Common Agriculture Policy. First, the work is focused on historical development and working of the whole mechanism of the common agriculture policy of the EU. All the reforms up to now are given afterwards. The second half of this diploma work is analyzing the Czech agriculture and regarding the comparison of "pre-accession" period with "post-accession" period it shows the changes that have occurred in the Czech agricultural international trade.
