Cylinder Head for Single Cylinder Engine
Lesák, Tomáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with structure design solutions of combustion chambers and intake ports in petrol combustion engines, including their basic properties. Part of the thesis is focused on experimental measurements of a real intake port of Mikron III engine. Also it describes creation of 3D model for CFD flow simulation, optimization proposals for improved engine induction and results evaluation.
Engine Motormanagement Software
Kopecký, Ivo ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Fuel injection is a means of metering fuel into an internal combustion engine. In modern automotive applications, fuel metering is one of several functions performed by an "engine management system". A fuel injection system is designed and calibrated specifically for the type(s) of fuel it will handle: gasoline (petrol), Autogas LPG (also known as propane), ethanol, methanol, methane (natural gas), hydrogen or diesel. The majority of fuel injection systems are for gasoline or diesel applications. With the advent of electronic fuel injection, the diesel and gasoline hardware has become quite similar. During the last twenty years a preparation of a fuel mixture and the way of ignition in engine segment have changed the most. Instead of a carburettor it is being used the unit, which prepare fuel mixture according to a status of a car on the road e.g. change of pressure, temperature or ratio of a fuel and air.
Mixture-Flow in Combustion Chamber
Hrbáček, Jan ; Lempera, Aleš (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The Master's thesis deals with the flow of fuel mixture in the combustion chamber and the influence of its geometry on squish generation caused by the compression lift. The thesis introduces design proposals of the geometry of the combustion chamber focusing on the shape of the squish area and their comparison based on the amount of kinetic energy and the velocity profile obtained using 2-D Squish programme calculations.

Vyhodnocení emisí traktorového vznětového motoru
Tunka, Lukáš
Although combustion engines are not occupying the first place of environmental polluters globally, from the local perspective they are undoubtedly the most important. That is why their side environmental effects are very closely monitored and there is an increasing pressure to minimize them. The issue of pollutants in exhaust gases is discussed in this diploma thesis, which is focused on diesel tractor engine. Theoretical part includes a detailed analysis of emissions of diesel engines, discusses European emission limits of tractor's engines and possible design of technical devices to reduce pollutants in exhaust gases. Experimental part deals with evaluation of influence of shape of combustion chamber on emissions of a diesel engine Zetor Z1605. This part also includes a detailed description of measurement methodology, NRCS cycle and used measuring devices. The measurement was performed at the workplace of Research and Development of Zetor Tractors a.s. company.
