Comparison of photovoltaic and photothermal systems for hot water heating in an apartment building
Švéda, Richard ; Lachman, Jakub (referee) ; Toman, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis examines the comparative merits of photovoltaic and photothermal systems for domestic hot water heating. The introductory section provides an overview of solar radiation, its origin, and its striking the Earth´s surface. Thereafter, both systems are subject to detailed analysis and calculations. These systems are designed for a specific residential unit and evaluated from technical, financial, and operational perspectives. Based on these calculations and analyses, the most suitable choice for the given location is recommended.
Switch board for FVE design
Kovář, Lukáš ; Holek, Radovan (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on electrical switchboard design and optimalization for a photovoltaic power plant. Within the design, the main requirements for the switch board, such as the output voltage of photovoltaic panels, the ability to monitor power, protection against external influences, and the output system, are defined. Thesis‘ key element is the implementation of modern technologies and control systems for power monitoring and control. The thesis explores the possibilities of using automation technologies for optimal energy utilization and maintenance costs reduction.
Design of a photovoltaic power plant for a family house in Opava region
Pekárek, Marek ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis covers the design of a photovoltaic power plant with battery storage for a family house. In the theoretical part is mentioned principles of photovoltaic effect and the function of photovoltaic cells. The work deals with the description of the photovoltaic panels and entire systems of photovoltaic power plant used nowadays. Theses includes informations on legislative conditions and available subsidies related to the installation of photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic. In next part of the thesis, I focus on the design of a photovoltaic power plant for a selected family house with a measured annual energy consumption. The system design methodology includes calculation of the required power output of the plant, selection of the appropriate panel placement, component selection, and design of electrical wiring. The work also includes an economic analysis and a calculation of the return on investment, considering the available energy products from energy suppliers in the Czech Republic.
Simulace fotovoltaické elektrárny v rodinném domě
Gabrys, Adam ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This work deals with the simulation of a photovoltaic power plant system for a single-family house with subsequent optimization with respect to the return on investment. It emphasizes the visualization of the results and the possibility to include custom photovoltaic assemblies including inverter, photovoltaic panels and battery. The tool works with a three-phase system, where it is able to analyse the consumption of each phase and perform simulations with the power delivered from the solar panels. The optimization of the different components of the power plant is performed using a genetic algorithm. The simulation is implemented in Python based on object-oriented programming principles in order to allow the addition of new modules.
Efficient use of renewable energy sources in a residential building
Burčo, Matúš ; Paluřík, Pavel (referee) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an optimization algorithm for an energy management system in apartment buildings. The thesis analyzes current technological solutions for smart home energy management, including open-source and commercial systems. It further considers the use of containerization technologies for the implementation of the algorithm in practice. The second chapter focuses on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydro power and discusses methods for their efficient integration into energy systems. The third chapter describes specific system elements, such as photovoltaic panels and battery storage, in the context of a residential building. The fourth chapter describes the development of the optimization algorithm, its testing and integration with data collection and visualization platforms. The aim of the thesis is to show how the system can be used to make efficient use of the available energy resources and thus reduce the energy costs of the building.
Parking areas at BUT for energy use
Al Halabi, Enas ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
Analysis of energy balances for energy communities
Pavlík, Libor ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the state of energy communities in the EU and the Czech Republic in order to provide a comprehensive view of their functioning and potential. Key aspects of energy communities are discussed, including the legal framework and technological options. The main objective of this thesis was to analyse the possibility of applying community energy to the municipality of Bánov. Based on the analysis, several options for the development of energy communities in the municipality are proposed. The performed calculations and analysis serve as a basis for assessing the potential and effectiveness of the proposed measures.
On-line calculators for the design of renewable energy installations
Ondráček, David ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Linda, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the field of renewable energy sources (RES). It focuses on the topic of computational tools that manage the design process of a system using RES. These tools are introduced, their calculation methodology is described and then they are evaluated. As a part of this thesis there is also introduced a design of a unique calculation tool. This tool calculates the energy balance of a dwelling using solar energy and a heat pump.
Solar Energy in Wireless Sensor Applications
Červenák, Rastislav ; Botta, Miroslav (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The work is a summary of the issues MSP430 devices eZ430-RF2500H. It deals with the solution to the consumption of its individual parts and the issue of power modules using solar energy. The output of the measurement signal depending on the distance of wireless modules and RF-power.
Utilization of renewable energy sources in Czech Republic
Kopička, Marek ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This thesis deals with consideration of energy facilities structure in Czech Republic. It is depicted in it their evolution from point of: electric energy consumption, structures of energy facilities and electricity prices. Further, is here depicted a production of electric energy for the year 2009, from the point of: produce, sources, consumption and ratio of factories. Of course, the RSE (renewable sources of energy) effect and share of scope on this evolution and structure, is also mentioned here. The next part is pointed to basic description of each sources of electric energy. It is not mentioned here only factories which uses for it´s production renewable primary sources but also another types of factories. Their pros and cons are also summarized. The last part of this work is a thought of realization of fictive project, which could replace a part of steam power plants' share by producing electric energy through renewable sources. It is re-counted and suggested here a few possibilities of this realization from the point of needed installed power and approximate estimation of capital expenditure.
