Angle of arrival calculation methods for localization using UWB technology
Žaludek, Ivo ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis describes UWB technology, compares available hardware platforms and describes UWB localization methods. The practical part compares the methods of calculating the angle of arrival from the phase difference of signal arrival on the two-element antenna array. The calculation is performed using the analytically obtained arc sine function and also using the look-up table and the polynomial function. The content of the look-up table and the coefficients of the polynomial function are based on the measured characteristics of the UWB receiver (anchor). The best result was obtained using the look-up table. More accurate results were obtained when the phase difference of arrival values were averaged.
3D Indoor Localization
Zvěřina, Jiří ; Polčák, Libor (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis is about designing and creating 3D visualisation of interior localization using Sewio system. Visualisation is presented as web application with WebGL technology. WebGL deployment is simplified with Three.js library. For future scalability of the application, I deal with integration of Three.js into Model-View-Controller architecture. The last part of the thesis is about additional sensors and their use to make the localization more precise. There is a barometric senzor making vertical localization possible and inertial sensors useful for determining rotation of localized devices.
Algorithm Development for Automatic Placement of Positioning System Reference Units
Průdek, David ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes designing and implementing the algorithm for automatic placement of the real-time localization system reference units. The algorithm is supposed to work with RTLS of the company Sewio Networks. The content of this thesis covers localization options in sensor networks and it is focused on UWB wireless technology. This thesis defines the use case of the designed feature and the principles of the most important parts for the correct outcome. Furthermore, the thesis contains implementing details and the way of integration into the Sewio RTLS. The last part presents the testing results of the created function and proposes future improvements.
Back-End Design for Analytical Dashboard of Positioning System
Hrivňák, Marek ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the optimization of the original solution and the design of a new solution for the storage and processing of positional data for the tool Sage Analytics of RTLS developed by Sewio Networks s.r.o. The objective of this study is to find and implement a solution to reduce the production time of Sage Analytics metrics. The optimized original solution provides in a very simple way (without the need to modify the implementation) significant acceleration in the production of metrics (for a time interval of 24 hours of displayed data) on average by up to 503 %. The proposed solution uses the InfluxDB database to store positional data and modifies the data processing in such a way, that it is compatible with the use of a new method of storing and retrieving positional data. The new solution also includes tests to check the correctness of the proposed solution. The application of this solution brings acceleration in the production of metrics (for the time interval of 24 hours of displayed data) from 725 % up to 2085 % and on average up to about 1010 %. Part of the work is also the performance of several experiments, which aim to reveal the reasons for the duration of metrics in Sage Analytics.
Platform for Interactive Exhibitions Based on Current Position
Čonka, Filip ; Kreslíková, Jitka (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the development of interactive exhibitions web application based on the current indoor position. The application is independent of a specific backend implementation and uses modern web development technologies. This thesis deals with deployment using cloud computing technologies. I implemented the application with the use of the frontend JavaScript framework Vue.js. As a data source, there is a PHP backend with the REST API based on the Laravel framework and the October CMS. I use the RTLS technology of the company Sewio. The application runs within Docker containers. I created a platform which brings interaction with the consumer and provides additional useful information about the presented exhibits. Galleries and museums can use enhance the attractivity of their exhibitions based on this application.
