Assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village
Balas, Jan ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on software products in hydraulic design and assessment of sewer networks. The thesis is consist of research part, where the commonly used programs in Czech Republic and abroad are listed. The next part aims to describe hydro-dynamic simulation model Storm Water Managment Model, which is free to download from U.S. EPA websites. The practical part deals with creating a model of the sewer network by the SWMM and hydraulic assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village Lipůvka, South - Moravian region.
Simulation modeling of the sewer network when applying elements for rainwater management
Vondráček, Filip ; Lžičař, Jakub (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The master's thesis focuses on methods of stormwater management. The introductory part of the research provides an overview of the current legislation related to this issue in the Czech Republic. Following that, there is a brief introduction to the history and stormwater management worldwide. The main section of the research acquaints the reader with methods of stormwater management in our conditions. Another part of the thesis is a technical report, describing the creation of a stormwater network model in a selected location with the application of insights into stormwater management from the research
Assessment of hydraulic reliability of drainage system in urban area and solution of extra-urban storm water.
Šebek, Josef ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents the topic of urban drainage systems. The first theoretical part contains methods and options for urban drainage systems, stormwater management, blue-green infrastructure (BGI) in urban areas and introduction of numerical modelling of sewerage systems. The application of modelling platforms is further described in the feasibility study in the practical part of this thesis. By using the simulation model, the study assesses the hydraulic reliability of the drainage system in the city of Jedovnice in the Czech Republic, identifies hydraulic issues and their causes on the urban drainage system. The second part of the study assesses extra-urban stormwater inflow from fields around the city caused by heavy rainfalls, which causes local flooding in the urban area. The identification as well as proposed solutions and capital expenditures, their comparison and recommendation of the optimal solution are included in the study.
Rainwater management in urban areas
Haška, Aleš ; Malaník, Stanislav (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the issue of stormwater management in urban areas with a focus on vegetated roofs . In this paper, testing of vegetated roof compositions at the DERIC experimental centre is published. The compositions are tested here to refine the existing knowledge on the behaviour of vegetated roofs in real environments. The existing knowledge of vegetated roof compositions is presented. The paper also explains how to input these specific vegetated roof compositions into the LID (Low Impact Development) module, which is part of the SWMM (Storm water management model) program. For each roof, parameters were compiled during which the simulated composition showed the greatest agreement with the measured data. After a satisfactory match, two compositions were selected and implemented in a specific area. For the specific area, there is already a rainfall-runoff model built from a previous research project, but new sub-catchments needed to be generated for this model and this was achieved using the PYTHON programming language. Subsequently, analyses of runoff reduction from the area of interest were performed.
Impacts of rehabilitation of sewer network on sewer hydraulics
Petrová, Diana ; Prax, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of the technical condition of selected parts (2 branches) of the sewer network in Znojmo. First, an assessment and classification of the occurring defects was carried out based on the supplied camera recordings according to the coding system of the ČSN EN 13 508-2+A1 standard. Then, each section was classified according to its faultiness and the resulting technical condition into individual categories according to the methodology of TNV 75 6905 (draft) and remediation was proposed. The remediation in the first part A concerned sections falling into categories 2 and 3, where remediation was proposed by lining that hardens in place using a UV emitter. For the second part of the network (B), lining cured by UV radiation was also proposed for sections falling into category 2, and for sections in category 4, a complete replacement of the existing pipes with new ones was proposed due to their destruction and static insufficiency. An economic evaluation was prepared for such a remedition proposal. In the next part, an assessment was made to determine whether the proposed remediton measures do not have an adverse impact on the overall hydraulics of the network. This assessment was carried out in the SWMM program, from which it was found that the remediation does not have such a significant and drastic impact on the hydraulics of the network and its application (lining and replacement of pipes) should have almost no effect. This work includes individual appendices - Evaluation of the camera survey of selected sections of the sewer network according to ČSN EN 13 508-2+A1, Evaluation of the technical condition of selected sections according to TNV 75 6905, Situation evaluation of the technical condition of the sewer network - part A, Situation evaluation of the technical condition of the sewer network part B, Calculation of flow rates depending on the filling height for the original state before and after relief and CD with a camera survey of selected sections of the network.
