Small and modular reactors on the map of the Czech Republic
Šimůnková, Radana ; Brně, Kamil Števanka, OR NJZ MPO a FEKT VUT v (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
The future development of the energy sector is linked to the 3 D - digitalisation, decarbonisation and decentralisation. This group could be expanded to include a fourth D - diversification of resources. Since the second half of the 1980s, the use of nuclear energy has been an integral part of the Czech energy sector. With the development of nuclear energy, small modular reactors are often mentioned today. The construction of small modular reactors could help transform the energy mix, which needs to be adapted to the imminent end of coal use for energy purposes. This thesis contains a detailed description of potential sites for the future location of small modular reactors in the Czech Republic and analyses the individual sites using the author's methodology. An overview map with potential sites was created in QGIS software. Furthermore, the thesis summarises and describes the most promising small modular reactor projects and evaluates them according to the methodology recommended by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Finally, the thesis proposes the consideration of additional sites with regard to the potential use of waste heat.
Study of runoff and erosion conditions in the Ketkovice cadastral area
Buršík, Lukáš ; Uhrová,, Jana (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis is focused on the analysis of the Ketkovice cadastral area in terms of runoff and erosion conditions. The QGIS software was chosen for the analysis. For this reason, instructions for this software are prepared, focusing on runoff and erosion conditions, as an appendix to the Diploma Thesis. Other software programs used are USLE2D and DesQ-MaxQ. The first part deals with the analysis of the area of interest. The second part deals with the problem itself, at first the methods used to determine runoff and erosion conditions are introduced, then anti-erosion measures, at the end of this part the software programs used are briefly described. The last third part is devoted at first to the evaluation of runoff and erosion conditions before the design of the measure, then to the design of the measure itself, finally to the evaluation after the design of the measure. In case of erosion conditions, two variants of calculating long-term soil loss are considered before and after the proposed measures. In the first variant, a constant value of the factor R=40 MJ.ha.cm.h is considered in the Universal Soil Loss Equation and in the second variant this value is increased with respect to the climate change.
Object Detection in the Laser Scans Using Convolutional Neural Networks
Marko, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veľas, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at detection of lines of horizontal road markings from a point cloud, which was obtained using mobile laser mapping. The system works interactively in cooperation with user, which marks the beginning of the traffic line. The program gradually detects the remaining parts of the traffic line and creates its vector representation. Initially, a point cloud is projected into a horizontal plane, crating a 2D image that is segmented by a U-Net convolutional neural network. Segmentation marks one traffic line. Segmentation is converted to a polyline, which can be used in a geo-information system. During testing, the U-Net achieved a segmentation accuracy of 98.8\%, a specificity of 99.5\% and a sensitivity of 72.9\%. The estimated polyline reached an average deviation of 1.8cm.
Surveying of the church of St. John of Nepomuk in Starý Lískovec with the usage of topological coding
Hladký, Matúš ; Berková, Alena (referee) ; Bartoněk, Dalibor (advisor)
The objective of the thesis is surveying of the church of St. John of Nepomuk in Starý Lískovec by tachymetric method and creating of the wire-frame model with usage of topological coding. The introduction part contains brief description, localization, and history of the object. In next part are described steps of measuring, i.e., reconnaissance, creating of measuring net and surveying of the object. After that follows computations of measured data and generation of the model by QGIS and Microstation softwares.
Assessment of hydraulic reliability of drainage system in urban area and solution of extra-urban storm water.
Šebek, Josef ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents the topic of urban drainage systems. The first theoretical part contains methods and options for urban drainage systems, stormwater management, blue-green infrastructure (BGI) in urban areas and introduction of numerical modelling of sewerage systems. The application of modelling platforms is further described in the feasibility study in the practical part of this thesis. By using the simulation model, the study assesses the hydraulic reliability of the drainage system in the city of Jedovnice in the Czech Republic, identifies hydraulic issues and their causes on the urban drainage system. The second part of the study assesses extra-urban stormwater inflow from fields around the city caused by heavy rainfalls, which causes local flooding in the urban area. The identification as well as proposed solutions and capital expenditures, their comparison and recommendation of the optimal solution are included in the study.
Studie odtokových poměrů v povodí bezejmenného levostranného přítoku Svratky řkm 93,8 v k. ú. Ujčov
Mach, Arnošt
The diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of runoff conditions in the selected location for a purpose in form of the proposal complex system of measures. First of all was created literary research on topics like hydrology, forest roads, and measures for water retention. Next were in detail described the natural conditions of the chosen location. Thanks to the field survey were possible to identify critical locations for increased water drainage and determine risk factors. Based on the information gathered evaluated runoff conditions in the studied area and created a rainfall-runoff model in open-source software HEC-HMS. Lastly were designed measures for enabling the safe flow of water and measures for an increase in overall ecological stability.
