Program for Calibrated Raster Maps

This thesis deals with the displaying of calibrated maps and with the processing of the points of interest. Points of interest can be obtained from the images with Exif information about the position of photographing. The thesis describes the basic concepts of Geoinformatics, the principle of GPS, format of calibrated maps, some other data formats such as Exif, GPX and the resulting program.

Coordinate System Conversion Options for Web Application

The aim of this work is to find and compare tools and libraries for conversion of coordinates between Coordinate System WGS84, S-JTSK, UTM zone 33N and Pseudo-Mercator, which could be used in Web Application. Found options are then tested with focus on speed and accuracy of conversion. The main result of this work is list of usable possibilities for coordinate system conversion including comparison of performance and accuracy and its advantages and disadvantages.

GIS Application Tool for Mobile Platforms

This master's thesis with draft of GIS tool for mobile platforms. The resulting program will be adapted for collection of geographic data in the field. The program will work with standard file formats for GIS. High emphasis is put on the control, which is particular for mobile devices with capacitive display. The program will be designed for both smartphone and tablet. Explanation of the mapping principle and description of geographic information systems are also parts of the thesis.
