Hodnocení vývoje demografických a socioekonomických ukazatelů Pardubického kraje
Novotná, Tereza
The diploma thesis focuses on the demographic analysis of the Pardubice region and districts in the years 2010–2021. The main aim is to analyze and evaluate selected demographic and socioeconomic indicators. Indicators of population structure and dynamics were evaluated. The data used were taken from the Czech Statistical Office and processed using the cohort-component method, trend analysis and extrapolation method. An increase in the postreproductive and aging of the population were detected. The worst situation was in the Chrudim district. There were 136 seniors for every 100 children last year. Based on the selected indicators, the best situation was detected in the Pardubice district. The Pardubice Region copied the population trends of the Czech Republic.
Quantum and tempo of population ageing process in the twelve countries of the former Soviet Union: Challenges, opportunities and public policies
Mustafina, Marta ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kalibová, Květa (referee) ; Sidorenko, Alexandre (referee)
Quantum and tempo of population ageing process in the twelve countries of the former Soviet Union: Challenges, opportunities and public policies Abstract Population ageing is an omnipresent phenomenon which brings along unprecedented challenges to socio-economic development, especially to employment, social security and public health sectors. The broad goal of this doctoral thesis was to demonstrate that it is time to recognize the importance of population ageing and its dynamics even in the countries with relatively young population structures and to take urgent action through implementation of corresponding policy interventions in order to mitigate and eliminate the upcoming negative consequences and utilize potential opportunities. Research on population ageing in both more and less developed countries is abundant. However, amidst numerous studies, countries of the former Soviet Union remain largely overlooked. Besides, the quantum and tempo of population ageing have not been adequately addressed in the existing literature worldwide. This research addresses, to the best of our knowledge for the first time, those issues. Holistic approach to gap analysis was adopted to guide this study. The analysis was performed in three steps. The first step incorporated the identification and analysis of the observed...

Vybrané demografické aspekty starnutia populácie v Českej republike
Plešingerová, Zuzana
The thesis focuses on the quantification of selected demographic aspects that affect aging of the population in Czech Republic. Thesis compares and specifies regional differences in natality, mortality, marriage rate and divorce rate. Theoretical part focuses on the analysis of the theoretical background of specialized literature, which constitutes the basis implementation of the practical part in the form of demographic research. For practical part were used secondary data from publicly available database ČSÚ. From statistic methods were used regression analysis, cluster analysis and extrapolation of time series. Regression analysis showed influence of the selected indicators for aging population of Czech republic. Aim of the cluster analysis was grouped 14 regions into clusters based on similarities and diferences. Part of the results was prediction of mortality and natality indicators, marriage rates, divorce rates and aging index in the five years period to 2020.
Tempo and quantum of population ageing in the world: development opportunities and challenges
Mustafina, Marta ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Sokol, Daniel (referee)
Tempo and quantum of population ageing in the world: development opportunities and challenges Abstract This diploma thesis aims to identify and describe the differentiation of the scale and dynamics of the ageing process in the world at sub-regional level and to develop a typology of those sub-regions and selected countries in terms of mentioned characteristics of population ageing. Furthermore, relatively homogenous groups of countries have been distinguished based on the cluster analysis of social conditions in the context of ageing in order to access their readiness to face further development of the phenomenon. Major development opportunities and imminent challenges associated with population ageing have been evaluated in the end. The results show that the timing and extent of age structure changes are very closely related. Countries that have undergone longer demographic transitions experienced longer demographic windows of opportunity that allowed them to reap the benefits of demographic dividends and to develop better social conditions as a result. Rapidly ageing societies from developing regions, on the contrary, have less time and resources to counteract the challenges resulting from the demographic changes where timely measures and policies have to be prioritized by policymakers. The work is focused on the analysis of this demographic process not only from the point of view of time, but also from the point of view of place. The paper analyses the most important demographic processes and indicators including age structure, population and migration. Furthermore, the work focuses on economic aspects connected with population development. The work also evaluates the indicators at the regional and district level using methods of spatial data analysis. Data collected by the Czech Statistical Office are used in this work. The results of the research are presented using the cartographic outputs.
Vybrané aspekty stárnutí populace v Itálii
Dvořák, Martin
The thesis focuses on the quantification of selected demographic aspects that affect the aging of the population in Italy. Compares the northern and central industrial region of Italy with agricultural and southern parts of the island, whose output is a validation of assumptions about the impact of different intensity of demographic aspects according to the geographical division of Italy. The theoretical part is focused on the analysis of the theoretical background of Czech and foreign literature, which constitutes the basis for the implementation of the practical part in the form of demographic research. He is devoted to analysis of the structure of population by age and sex, mortality, fertility and birth, marriage and divorce rates. The practical part is based on theoretical and uses secondary data in a time series of ten consecutive years. The data are drawn from the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) from the Eurostat database, which is operated by the European Union (EU). As part of the fulfillment of the objectives of the work will be used in the method of comparison, extrapolation of time series regression and time series analysis. Part of the results of the prediction of mortality indicators, birth and fertility, marriage and divorce rates and aging index in the five year period to 2018.
