Steam turbine start-up
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on steam turbine start-up process. The first part of this thesis describes in general terms the basic practices and principles of start-up. The second part deals with the general description of thermal stress on the rotor and stator part. There is also simplified calculation of start-up duration and admissible temperature difference. The last part is a calculation of heat transfer coefficient using inverse heat transfer analysis. There is a comparison of models and measurement data of thermal stress.
Daily launches steam turbines and their impact on the life of the turbine
Štěpánová, Lenka ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the problem of steam turbines, which require daily cycling by reason of an unstable nature of the energy source. The first part focuses on the current trends which have caused still increasing demand for steam turbines designed for every day start-ups. There is a description of the steam turbine start-up procedure and the heat transfer theory thanks to which the list of the critical parts of the steam turbine has been selected and with respect to these critical points has been created the draft of technical measures for the turbine. The thesis is finished with an evaluation of the life of the steam turbine casing as one of the critical parts and with a proposal for a calculation of a start-up time of the steam turbine.
Solutions for using micro cogeneration in places where are not primarily available gas or liquid fuels
Kubínek, Martin ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the usage of micro cogeneration units in the places where gas and liquid fuels are not primarily available. In the research part, the available technologies and the current condition of the market of micro cogeneration units, which use solid fuels, especially biomass, are described. In the technical-economical part, there is a design of the specific unit whose thermal output corresponds to the thermal rated loss of the chosen building. The payback period of the unit with a gasifier and with a combustion engine is estimated in the cases when the chosen building is currently heated by: lignite, wooden chips, electricity and the combination of natural gas and coke.
Steam turbines
Klíma, Petr ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe development of steam turbine basic parts of steam turbine and its types. In theoretical part there are described history of steam turbines in the world and Czech republic. Next one is principle of steam turbine, description of parts in steam turbine and different connection of steam turbine. In practical part there are calculations of ideal Clausius-Rankine cycle of specific steam turbine.
The use of Steam Turbines
Kissler, Martin ; Vojáčková, Jitka (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to present the development of steam turbines from their construction to the detailed description of one of the major representatives of the modern turbines. The introduction of my thesis focuses on the historical development of the first turbines and their division according to the basic aspects. It is followed by a description of the use of steam turbines to generate electricity, for driving machines and for use in heating plants. The conclusion of my thesis is a detailed description of the turbines located on Nuclear Power Plant. To the description is added a simplified calculation.
Materials and methods for welding in the manufacture of steam turbine rotors
Churý, Tomáš ; Řičánková, Veronika (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is literature review summarizing current knowledge on materials and methods of steam turbine rotors welding. The first part of this work deals with the historical development from the oldest steam generating equipment to construct the first steam turbine. The next section provides an overview of the most common metal materials for the components of steam turbines and the ways and methods of welding in current technical practice.
The use of Steam Turbines
Saňka, Marek ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of steam turbines as a part of the power station. The theoretical part focuses on the history, basic informations about steam turbines, as well as facts of the operation and allocation of steam turbines by various criteria. The theoretical part also includes description of the most common construction design. In the practical part is described the concrete power station and is made basic calculation of heat balance.
Thermal turbines
Tota, Lukáš ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with thermal turbines. The first chapter contain history, with regard to the machines that preceded the turbines and the typical problems with the production of turbines. Then there is typology of steam and gas turbines. At the end of thesis there are examples illustrating the use of turbines in energy facilities.
Dynamic Behavior of Laval Rotor
Nováková, Naděžda ; Hlavoň, Pavel (referee) ; Malenovský, Eduard (advisor)
The aim of this bachebor’s thesis is to specify self-frequency of model rotor system and verify that the system may be considered as Laval rotor. The natural frequency is obtained by calculating from the known relations for the circular rotor vibration. Verify that the model rotor system can be Laval rotor, is performed by using experimental measurements, which is determined in shaft deflection trajectory during gradually increasing speed. The measured values are then processed in program MATLAB. The results are compared with theory of Laval rotor
Upgrading the secondary circuit of the Dukovany NPP
Fialová, Michaela ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Šen, Hugo (advisor)
With the ever increasing usage of electric power and decreasing supply of natural resources, there is a growing effort to effectivelly maximise current dispositions of resources. Utilising project reserves at already functioning Nuclear powerplants belongs to these projects. In this article I am going to describe this utilisation and overall modernisation of the Dukovany Nuclear powerplant.
