Apartment house in Pacov

The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to elaborate the documentation for the construction of the apartment house and terraced garages. The location of the designed building is in Sídliště Míru street, in the town of Pacov. The apartment house has three above-ground floors and one underground floor. Fourteen housing units are designed in the above-ground floors, while the underground floor consists of a technical background of the house and a cellar units. On the plot area, there are also designed open-air parking spaces and a children's playground. The apartment house is based on on strip foundations. The structural system of a building is designed from walls with monolithic reinforced concrete ceilings. The load-bearing walls of the above-ground floors are designed from HELUZ ceramic blocks and the load-bearing walls of the underground floor are solved by permanent formwork. The building is isolated with an external contact insulation system, internationally referred to as ETICS. The roof is designed as warm flat roof. Terraced garages are designed as two separate buildings, each with seven garage spaces. Load-bearing and partition walls will be made of HELUZ ceramic blocks. The foundation will be based on foundation strips and roofing with warm flat roof.

The Town book of Pacov from the 1475-1683

6 Annotation The aim of the thesis is to introduce an urban book of Pacov in term of a diplomatic analysis. This urban book was established from the second half of 15 century to the second half of 17th century. The actual analysis of the registers is introduced by two sub-chapters. The first one is focused on the socio-politico-administrative development of the areas of Pelhřimov and Pacov during the late medieval and early modern period. The environment of Pacov is directly reflected in the section devoted to municipal laws, which aim is to put the content of privileges issued for Pacov to a broader social context. The sub-sections describing the outward signs of the urban book, an analysis of the registers from a diplomatic-content analysis point of view and the urban book in the context of the written production of the municipal office are the central part of the analysis of the urban book of Pacov. The groups sorting of different types of registers is based on the structure of municipal book as Ludmila Sulitková has applied to the urban environment of Brno books in the context of the urban book development in the Middle Ages. Midwifery activities from Pacov parish in the second half of the 19. century

The main theme of the thesis submitted is the midwifery practice in Pacov parish surroundings in the period of the 2nd half of the 19th century. Based on the studies of professional literature and archival files of diverse nature, the motivation of women to choose a midwife's profession, their education at Charles-Ferdinand University, but also the socioprofessional structure of their clientage, the issues of wages, emergency christenings, godparenthood avd many others, were studied. Using a micro-historical method, a group of 5 midwives, who got involved not only in Pacov, but also in other villages assigned to its parish, was monitored. Inspiration by historical demography is noticeable particularly in the chapters, in which the frequency of assistances at births of each of the midwives, or their filling in the role of godmothers are monitored.

Czech Toponyms in the Perspective of Cognitive Ethnolinguistics

This thesis deals with linguistic stereotypes of cities. Therefore, the object of our interest is onomastic material (oikonyms, ie. own settlement names), which, however, is viewed from the perspective of cognitively and culturally oriented linguistics. The main theory, which the thesis is based on, is J. Bartmiński's theory of stereotype (incl. the so-called. profiling). We have dealt with the names of three Czech cities that currently belong to the administrative unit of the Vysočina Region: Jihlava, Pelhřimov, Pacov. Following the methodology of Polish authors of J. Bartmiński's scope we have analyzed each of them in terms of three areas: language data, text data and empirical data. We found out concrete connotations of these names in Czech language, and on the basis of these findings of ours we have formulated their stereotypes. Besides the formulation of the three selected specific stereotypes, this thesis also presents some general observations about stereotypes of cities. It is esp. a case of a proposal the profiles (ie. general aspects, which are usually used in the process of profiling a stereotype), with which you can work in research on stereotypes of cities in general. Surnames in the town of Pacov

The subject of this Bachelor thesis is the onomastic analysis in the town of Pacov specifically, it is focused on the area of anthroponyms (surnames, names caused by houses and nicknames). The source material for analysing surnames was ac-quired from the municipality of the town of Pacov, names caused by houses and nicknames were obtained by explorative methods such as questionnaires and interviews. The analysis and classification of the material are based upon academ-ic literature from the field of onomastics. This paper aims to provide analysis of the most frequent surnames in the town and to map local names caused by hous-es and nicknames.

The changes of the castle in Pacov

This thesis deals with an object, which used to serve as a Gothic castle, later the Renaissance and Baroque castle, afterwards it was converted into a Carmelite monastery, which became a castle again in the early 19th century. The first part is devoted to constructional changes in the course of time and it includes some names and facts about the families, who owned the castle - the Malovecs of Pacov, the Rombháps of Suchá, the Španovs of Lisov, the Černíns of Chudenice etc. The following chapter deals with the owner Zikmund Myslík of Hyršov and his two wives who lived in a significant period of Baroque. The third chapter mentions the Discalced Carmelite order and their activities in Bohemia. The second major part brings profiles of two architects of the monastery complex, Martin Wittwer and Kilian Ignác Dientzenhofer, including their other work. The third part contains the plan documentation of Pacov complex along with other plans, which are described in the text and compared with the final realization, and finally Wittwer´s plans are compared with a similar Carmelite monastery in Györ, Hungary.

Cultural and federal life in Pacov between 1859-1914 (1918)

The thesis deals with the entry of A cultural and federal life in Pacov between 1859-1914 (1918). The work is diveded into five chapters. In introduction I´m speaking about used lterature, archival headwaters and contemporary newspaper. First two chapters present described town Pacov. Earliest its general characterization from of the different perspective, after its architectural scheme and everyday life. The third chapter, constititues shortly terms, which are using in this work. Next chapters, that create core of this work, are dealing the origins of the clubs (federals), federal structure, a development of the federal laws. Other I describes chosen federals, which are Jednota divadelních ochotníků, Zpěvácký spolek Čech a Zpěvácký spolek Slavík. I´ve tried to explain their history and development, methods of their work, the interconnections of the local elite and the members. At the end this bachelorship work contains list of town federals that have been working in Pacov between 1859-1914 (1918).
