Smart home control unit with Raspberry Pi

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of smart home controlled primarily by voice. The thesis introduces this technology, with its development and with trends it is heading to. It contains description of IoT architecture, communication and transmission technology. The attributes and use of the single-board minicomputer Raspberry Pi are described and compared with individual models. The large part of this thesis deals with the design of control unit for smart home system, which will consist of suitable components and microcomputer Raspberry Pi with operating system Raspbian, where the virtual assistant Amazan Alexa is integrated. The last part deals with the design, modeling and printing of a plastic cover for a intelligent speaker.
Advertising LED RGB Tube with Control Unit

This project discusses design of LED RGB tubes, which can be driven by asynchronous serial line. The light color of the LED tubes can be controlled in a several segments of tubes. There is made a design of control unit for driving LED tubes, which contains circuits for receiving and detection of audio signal, receiving of protocol DMX512 and also driving of LED strips. For the microprocessors there is also created a software which ensures a communication between the control unit and LED tubes, driving LEDs in the tube and creating various lighting effects.
Device for sports results measuring and displaying

This project is dealing with a design of device for measuring and displaying of sports results. The project is divided into three parts - the design of control board for LED display, next the control unit and finally the remote control. LED display contains LED segments and graphical line for the text. The control unit and remote control are communicating with LED display, measuring devices or with a PC. It is possible to operate the whole system by tablet or a smartphone. There is a software made for all processors of all parts, which can demonstrate the function of the system and all added peripherals.
Control Unit with (Espressif) ESP32 Module

This bachelor thesis describes concept, design and making of control unit with module Espressif ESP32. At first we apply to proposition of theoretical communication blocking scheme and blocking scheme of design. Afterwards we apply to designing of the scheme and choosing appropriate parts and making design of printed circuit board. In the end we are going to code function of the module and we will make end-user device.
