This work documents implementation of ICQ communication protocol in form of shared library, proposal and implementation of a client for created library. Creating Metadata during Interception of Instant Messaging Communication

This thesis deals with the lawful interception of instant messaging communication and meta-information construction (IRI reports) during an interception. This thesis deals with XMPP, IRC, and OSCAR protocols. Format of messages has been described for each protocol. An application that is able to create IRI messages has been developed and tested in proposed testbed. The work also deals with possible problems that may happen during interceptions.

Instant Messaging Network Analysis and Reconstruction (YMSG and YMSG)

The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is analysis and reconstruction of network communication using YMSG and ICQ protocols. This paper contains detail description and message structure of these two protocols. Subsequently creation of experimental tool is discussed and used for reconstruction of YMSG communication. Results show that output of this tool is correct with reference to YMSG protocol. Thesis also outlines MS Network Monitor and introduces specialized NPL parsers for YMSG and ICQ.

Diploma thesis Closely Watched Trains: from the short story Kain to the short story, from short story to Oscar film and theatrical adaptations maps the path of Bohumil Hrabal's existential short story Kain, through the short story Closely Watched Trains, an Oscar film of the same name to theatrical adaptations that were dramatized by different people. The work also includes media response and comparison of the similarity of books, films and productions. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of literary genres, namely short stories and short stories. Review and criticism from the journalistic genres are theoretically described. The film and theater adaptation is defined and the dramatic structure of the film work is described. The second part presents the life and work of the writer Bohumil Hrabal and examines in more detail his distinctive writing style. The next sections are always devoted to the specific medium that the text carries. First, the text of the existential short story Kain is analyzed, followed by the short story Closely Watched Trains, including media coverage in the periodical press, followed by the Oscar-winning film Closely Watched Trains, which includes a biography of director Jiří Menzel and a chapter devoted to the Oscars. Linguistic and cultural specificity in Czech feature films dobbed for export

This thesis focuses on the transfer of Czech linguistic and cultural characteristics through English subtitles. Using four Oscar-nominated Czech films, it endeavours to explain to what extent English subtitles can influence and assist the understanding and artistic values of a Czech feature film when screened to a foreign audience. The paper is of a theoretical- empirical nature. Firstly, the parameters of audiovisual translation are described, together with the technical and linguistic features of subtitling, followed by a definition of culture-bound references categories. As part of the research, Western understanding and appreciation of Czech artistic heritage is summarised. The empirical part presents an analysis of culture- bound references transfer. Excerpts are taken from the Czech films The Wild Bees (Divoké včely), Up and Down (Horem pádem), Divided We Fall (Musíme si pomáhat) and I Served the King of England (Obsluhoval jsem anglického krále). The results of the analysis are contrasted with a survey on the reception of The Wild Bees film conducted with native speakers of English.
