Analysis of the region and its development strategies

In this diploma thesis is described problematic of regional competitiveness issue. In the theoretical part is defined region as the main actor of regional development and its funding possibilities. In the practical part is described Olomouc region supplemented by SWOT analysis. Competitiveness of the region is achieved by statistical variables from different sectors.

Road II/150 Domaželice - Bystřice p. Hostýnem - relocation study

The aim of the diploma‘s thesis is the project of relaying of road II/150 between Domaželice village and the town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The road continues on to the bypass of Čechy village and Domaželice village. This bypass is under construction at this time. Relaying of road II/150 is connected on project of Bystřice pod Hostýnem bypass. The connection of the existing and intended roads is designed. The project includes the accompanying report, the drawing part and the photodocumentation. The project is drawning up in two programs called Bentley Inroads and AutoCAD according to valid standards.

Renewable energy sources in the region of the North Moravia

The content of this work is to search an overview of basic types of renewable resources in the region of the north Moravia, respectively in the Olomouc region. In this work, are clearly described the main sources that are used in our country, especially the potential of photovoltaic systems, wind energy, water energy and biomass. For each type of renewable source is depicted a principle and the possibility to use just in the region of the north Moravia. In addition, specific applications are described in the Olomouc region, using these energy potentials.

Road safety inspection in the 0lomouc region

The diploma thesis focuses on a road safety inspection of selected intersections in Olomouc Region. The first step of the diploma thesis was to select 20 intersections, then each one was subjected to accident analysis. The intersections were compared by accident indicators, which were the basis of selection 11 intersections for visual inspection purposes. Based on visual inspections, the selection was further reduced to 4 intersections in Olomouc Region, which were subjected to detailed road safety inspection, then the potential risks influencing the origins of accident were identified and corrective measures were proposed in order to remove or eliminate the intersections problems.

Evaluation of specific factors in the valuation of agricultural land in conditions of the Czech republic

This dissertation is focused on the identification and evaluation of specific factors affecting the price of agricultural land. It should be mentioned that the market for agricultural land, especially arable land and permanent grasslands, is not fully developed in the Czech Republic and this area is not fully explored. The thesis describes the factors on the basis of which the investor decides when buying these plots. The data needed for this work have been obtained from professional literature, real estate servers, two polls, actual sales, etc. In the conclusion of this thesis all findings are summarized and evaluated. It includes the development of prices in the years 2014 – 2016 based on sales actually realized in the Olomouc Region, Moravian – Silesian Region, South Moravian Region and Vysočina Region. The outcome of the thesis is a proposal of an expert standard. It is necessary to realize that, above all, agricultural land is a specific commodity, as it is unreproducible, indivisible and its offer is limited.

Vývoj pivovarnictví v Olomouckém kraji

This Bachelor's thesis deals with evolution of the beer industry in region of Olomouc. The purpose of this work is to characterize chosen breweries in this region and analyze their economic growth. Analyzed beer factories in this region are Zubr a.s., Litovel a.s. a Holba a.s. The focus of this analysis is aimed on ownership structure, technologies used in the production, final products and also on the economic analysis (profit, shareholder structure and selected financial ratios, etc.). I have also used model of financial distress prediction and economic comparison between mentioned beer factories. The final results have been evaluated based on two main criteria. Based on chosen criteria brewery Holba has been rewarded as most profitable company of all. Also, Holba has shown as one of the best in IN index.

School media - press, radio, television, internet : on example of regions of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem

Diploma thesis "School media - press, radio, television, internet: on example of regions of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem" deals with school media production of pupils and students of primary and secondary education focusing on the Czech environment. The whole issue is framed within media literacy, media education. Moreover, the interpretation accents with its direction of production. The most important chapters of historical-theoretical part introduce the outline of the school media development from the beginning till nowadays. Practical part characterizes school media in the regions of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem. The research survey is mainly focused on the occurrence of school media production, forms of their outputs and characteristics of individual types of school media. What is more, the survey is also interested in current trends in publishing of school and class magazines and their theme and genre profile. Survey summarizes reasons, which impedes realization of school media production. Finally, on account of compile findings and data, it deduces a school media typology, criteria of their possible categorisation and includes them into the media system. School media-press,radio,internet:on an example of the "Olomouc" region

School media create specific territory of media landscape. However in certain circumstances, they can be considered as organisational media, which forms a part of civil media sector, or as alternative media. School media create from school peculiar type of public sphere too. School media production has quite long tradition in the Czech environment. First school media have a form of school or class magazines, which have appeared in the mid of 19th century. At the beginning, they were made from initiative of pupils and students. Their closeness to school has been changed and influenced by school experience and political situation through time. As a result, publishing of school magazines has been supported, tolerated, afflicted, and subordinated to supervision. Production media output as a part of incipient form of media education has not appeared until 80s of 20th century. The spectra of school media has extended after the November 1989. Firstly, the organisation of independent school radio and television broadcasts has started, besides school and class magazines and occasional student's broadcasts in school radio. Ekologické zemědělství na Prostějovsku a v Olomouckém kraji

This diploma thesis deals with organic agriculture in Olomouc region, mainly region of Prostějov. It is focused on animal production. It also evaluates the number of organic farms, their size and management. Speaking about animal farms, the thesis concentrates mainly on their structure, production and sale of products. It underlines the differences between conventional and organic agriculture in Olomouc region and Prostějov region. In the end of the thesis there is a survey that mainly deals with organic agriculture and bioproducts. There was found, that most respondents know something about these concepts. Further more the survey deals with the frequency of purchase and prices of bioproducts. The prices do not suit to the respondents that's why they buy bioproducts only occasionally, the smaller amount of them once a month. The survey was focused on the inhabitants of Olomouc region.

Diploma thesis deals with the issue of social responsibility in selected medical facilities in Olomouc Region. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic concepts which are related to the social responsibility. In particular, they are interested groups, business ethics and corporate philantrophy. The actual part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of social responsibility of three healthcare facilities. After evaluating their existing social responsibility, at the and of the work, specific recommendations and measures in the area of CSR are proposed, which in the case of their implementation, could help the investigated entities to assist in their further activities.
