Realization and testing of communication bus between device with OS Android and microcontroller using USB/RS232 converter
Kopčil, Tomáš ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the communication bus between Android OS-based device and the PIC microcontroller. The theoretical part presents required utilities and developement environments for setting up this communication. The practical part focuses on putting the communication bus into practice and testing its capabilities. Two applications were set up to demonstrate the data transfer: an application providing access to the regulation of motor position and an information display for a segway-type transporter.
Intelligent Music Player for Android
Tomášek, Michal ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kalmár, Róbert (advisor)
Today's market is full of different kinds of music players. However there is no music player using prediction, which would be able to work with usual usage and in real time. This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a music player with implemented prediction. The creation of high quality architecture for this application and the choice of appropriate prediction algorithm are emphasized. At first, the category of methods of machine learning and afterwards the algorithm are determined. The final prediction algorithm is divided into a several sections, therefore it is necessary to pick or create a solution for all its parts. The outcome of this project is the music player for Android OS which would be able to predict and learn from a user interaction in real time.
Wireles Flying Object Telemetry
Bednář, Martin ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Růžička, Richard (advisor)
This paper is engaged in specification, design and implementation of a telemetry module for flying object. Specifically, it focuses on the selection of the appropriate carrier frequency of the integrated circuit providing bidirectional communication to a sufficient distance and design of the protocol used in the transmission. Furthermore, the document focuses on the design of communication modules using these integrated circuits, altimeter sensor module, module to control the actuators and design of the application for mobile phones used to display the measured data. With regard to legislative and technical options, I chose a carrier frequency of 2.4 GHz. For this frequency is commercially available integrated circuit CC2511, which in cooperation with integrated circuit CC2591 should be able to provide telemetry range about 2 km. I chose BMP085 sensor for altitude measuring. It is communicating over I2C bus as well as a module for controlling the actuator, which uses a microcontroller ATMEGA48-20AU. The mobile phone communicates with the ground station via the USB bus.
Controlling of a Canon DSLR via a mobile device
MINÁŘ, Petr
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a mobile application for the Android platform, through which it would be possible to control a Canon digital SLR camera. The connection between the mobile phone and the camera is made via Wi-Fi. The camera control application allows you to detect and connect or disconnect the camera, view camera information (battery level, free space on memory card, lens connection), can make selected camera settings (adjust exposure parameters, flash control, set ISO value, set color photo style), display a live view image of the camera, start basic operations (focus, immediate and delayed image capture, zoom adjustment), more complex actions (sequential shooting, exposure with various parameters) and the ability to record video. The application is able to save the selected settings as special thematic modes for later use. In addition, the application supports the transfer and storage of photos from the camera to a mobile phone. Application programming is based on an SDK package issued by Canon. Based on the testing of the created application, I evaluated the possibilities and limits of controlling a digital SLR camera from another device via Wi-Fi. Compared to the Canon application, my application allows more setting options as well stored user settings of individual camera settings.
Mobile Open Source application development for OS Android in Kotlin
VOJÁČEK, Jakub
The aim of my bachelor's thesis will be to analyze the creation of Open Source applications for mobile devices with Android OS in the programming language Kotlin. Kotlin is a statically typed programming language running on top of a Java Virtual Machine, with the option of compiling into JavaScript. It is designed for interoperability with Java libraries, it even depends on some kernel libraries. In 2017 Google designated Kotlin as the official language for Android development instead of the originally used Java language. The bachelor's thesis will elaborate the development of the application in the language of Kotlin, the output of the work will be a set of practical examples, smaller applications, and the main, larger, application Department of Informatics PF JU. The application will be tested on available platforms (phone, tablet) and on several versions of the Android OS, part of the work will be publishing the finished application on Google Play.
Metody distribuce zpráv mezi mobilními zařízeními
Křeček, Daniel
Křeček, D. Methods of Message Distribution Between Mobile Devices. Bachelor thesis. Brno. 2017 This thesis deals with concept of processing messages from applications using MBaaS. The text deals with the necessary steps for communication between client and backend in Firebase and Kinvey environments. Furthermore, it compares specific parameters of these two services. The application was developed for Android OS using Java programming language.
Mobilná aplikácia pre autotestovanie digitálnej gramotnosti
Hudec, Ján
Hudec, Ján. Mobile application autotesting digital literacy. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2018. This thesis deals with the analysis of the problem of testing digital literacy follow-ing with creation and implementation of such mobile application for operational system Android. Application provides four areas of questions at advanced level as well as exposing results for individual tests.
