Enrichment and reprocessing of nuclear fuel
Janoušek, Petr ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Sitek, Tomáš (advisor)
Nuclear fuel is one form of electricity generation. This bachelor thesis deals with its modification and processing as this fuel has to undergo special processes to ensure its good usability. The aim of the thesis is to list and analyze the main processes involved in the production of nuclear fuel. The thesis is, in particular, focused on the enrichment of nuclear fuel, which is the process of enhancing its properties. The first and second chapter of the paper discusses basic issues of first nuclear energy and then nuclear fuel. The third chapter of the thesis explains in detail the enrichment of nuclear fuel and also describes different methods of enrichment. Another process taking place after nuclear fuel is used is it's reprocessing. This method of converting used fuel into fuel that can be reused is dealt with in the last chapter of the thesis.
Nuclear power plants
Musil, Jiří ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with history and future of nuclear reactors, it describes nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and provides a list of promising possibilities of using nuclear energy, that are currently in research. Description of the secondary circuit based on Czech nuclear power plants is also included in this thesis. In the beginning, some elementary knowledge about nuclear energetics is gathered, to provide readers with basics of this topic.
Nuclear power plants
Krakovský, Matej ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis explains different types of nuclear reactors and their fuel and safety characteristics. The thesis is complemented with history and description of nuclear powerplants in Slovakia. There are mentioned some of the experimental projects, whose usage is expected in the future. In the beginning are described fundamentals of nuclear energetics and nuclear fission chain reactions.
Turbogenerators in nuclear power plants
Oulehla, Jan ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to prove the viability of analytical methods for evaluation of thermodynamical properties of steam in the turbogenerators by calculation and comparison with the real data from NPP Dukovany. Calculation is seconded by a brief introduction to the principle of electricity generation in nuclear power plants and description of primary, secondary and terciary circuit of NPP Dukovany. Substantive part is also analysis of often used turbogenerators and their comparison with those used in classical thermal power stations.
Circuits of nuclear power plants
Pavlíček, Martin ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the history and beginnings of nuclear energy, an explanation of the basic knowledge of nuclear energy and an introduction to the issue. Then, the division of nuclear reactors according to various criteria is described. Furthermore, the solution of individual circuits in a nuclear power plant is described according to the type of reactor used. The individual circuits are described at the Temelin nuclear power plant. The last part deals with nuclear safety and various safety systems, without which a nuclear power plant could not be started.
