Implementation of mechanisms providing Segment Routing for IPv6 (SRv6) using the FD.io VPP platform
Mjasojedov, Igor ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Koláčková, Aneta (advisor)
The development of the mobile networks of fifth-generation (5G) accomplishes the requirements of transported services. New applications and services put high pressure on bandwidth, reliability and flexibility of the data transport. Due to this trend, network technologies need to be developed to address it and ensure transmission quality. This master's thesis aims at the Segment Routing (SR) concept and its commitment to improving transport quality in the transport part of 5G mobile networks. SR allows the integration of network programming into the traditional design of transport networks. SR uses either MPLS (SR-MPLS) or IPv6 (SRv6) on the forwarding plane. This thesis aims at SRv6. The main goal of the thesis is to design and implement a communication scenario for the transport part of the network with the SRv6 protocol. Docker platform is used to create a topology with all its nodes. The VPP platform is used to enable SRv6 on top of this topology. VPP has the ability to be configured via NETCONF protocol thanks to the Honeycomb agent, which can process NETCONF messages and propagate them to the VPP configuration. This configuration is done by the program Ansible, which can send NETCONF configurations to all SR nodes with Honeycomb installed. Testing and verification of the topology with all SRv6 policies is handled by the TRex traffic generator.
Parser and Validator of Data Models in YANG Language
Vican, Pavol ; Kekely, Lukáš (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
Computer network administrators need tools for configuration and monitoring of network devices. Therefore, NETCONF protocol was designed for remote devices configuration and YANG modelling language which describes the structure of the configuration data. The aim of this thesis is to extend the libyang library with syntax parser, that processes models written in YANG and stores them into internal structures. This parser is generated by bison and flex tools.
Configuration of OpenWRT System Using NETCONF Protocol
Nagy, Peter ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Kekely, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is OpenWrt platform configuration using the NETCONF protocol. Existing tools such as libnetconf library and Netopeer toolset were used for the communication using the NETCONF protocol. Implementation part deals with the development of modules for system and network interfaces configuration.
SDN in LAN networks
Kříž, Daniel ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the problem of Software Defined Networks. It describes the concept of SDN, the OpenFlow protocol, which is an integral part of this issue, and lastly is mentioned the concept of NFV. The goal is to research this issue, gather information about the available open source controllers and choose the most suitable ones. Furthermore, a proposal for the implementation of the laboratory task and a~list of available components have to be created. The final task is to construct and test laboratory task and then with help of this knowledge create laboratory manual.
Netopeer: Configuration Platform for Network Devices
Žižlavský, Marek ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
Master's thesis analyzes available network device configuration options and describes NETCONF configuration protocol and NETCONF event notifications extension in details. It describes Netopeer, open configuration platform developed on Liberouter project, and its pitote deployment as FlowMon probe remote configuration system. Newly designed Netopeer architecture, which adds support for NETCONF event notifications, was verified by reference implementation. Security of the new design and implementation was analyzed, and recommended system settings were provided. This Master's thesis is based on results of previous bachelor's thesis of author and on existing software tools developed by the Liberouter project.
Web Configuration Interface for Network Devices
Žižlavský, Marek ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor work is to design a universal configuration system for remote network device configuration based on the NETCONF protocol and to develop a web configuration interface for the FlowMon, monitoring probe. This work uses existing software tools developed by the Liberouter project. Main objective of the implementation part of this work is to develop a web configuration interface, supporting class libraries for configuration management and GUI creation in PHP. Implemented web configuration interface for the FlowMon probe is a fully-functional prototype of a configuration interface based on concepts of the universal configuration system designed in this bachelor work.
Zero Touch Provisioning in NETCONF Server
Vican, Pavol ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Wrona, Jan (advisor)
Computer network administrators need advanced tools to configure network devices. For this purpose, the NETCONF protocol and the YANG modeling language were developed. The aim of this thesis is to implement the Zero Touch mechanism that serves the initial configuration of the NETCONF server. This mechanism will be integrated into the sysrepo datastore.
Automated Inference of User Interface for NETCONF Protocol
Man, Jakub ; Orsák, Michal (referee) ; Tisovčík, Peter (advisor)
Knihovna pro NETCONF umožňuje uživatelům připojení k zařízením, uložení informací o zařízení do databáze, připojování ke skupinám zařízení pomocí profilů a modifikace konfiugrace zařízení. Systém rozšíření umožňuje výrobcům zařízení poskytnout uživatelům grafické rozhraní, které nevyžaduje další zaškolování uživatelů, aniž by museli vyvýjet celou aplikaci.
Nástroj na měření odezvy síťových zařízení ovládaný protokolem NETCONF
Rutarová, Barbora
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of an application for the automated measuring of responses from network devices. The application will be controlled by the NETCONF protocol. The application was designed to provide accurate information about the status of network devices. The use of RAW sockets allows the application to process parallel ICMP messages and detect errors in ICMP packets. Based on the obtained data, statistics are created that allow the user to monitor key parameters such as delay, loss rate, or jitter. To achieve this goal, a custom YANG module was designed and implemented, which serves to save the configuration and manage the measured data. This work presents a detailed design and implementation of this solution, including an analysis of its performance and a comparison with existing tools for monitoring network devices.
Dynamická konfigurace a správa modulárního DNS resolveru
MRÁZEK, Aleš
The master thesis deals with the design of a system for local and remote administration ofthe open-source DNS resolver Knot Resolver, which is characterized by unusually highmodularity and is implemented by several separate independent processes configuredby Lua language. The thesis presents the problems associated with the administrationof Knot Resolver and proposes a solution within the system based on the NETCONFprotocol. A data model is created using the YANG language to define configuration andadministrative operations. Toolsets libyang, sysrepo and netopeer2, based on the openstandards of the NETCONF protocol and the YANG modeling language, are used todesign and implement the system.
