At the very end of the thesis, five the most common ways of saving were selected and used for comparison according to the preferences and requirements of a particular respondent. The comparison was perfrormed using multiple-criteria decision methods (specifically WSA method and scoring method). The recommendation of the most suitable saving product was compared with the answears form the survey. Liquidity, risk, interest rate and annual fee, or the state contribution were chosen as the criteria of comparison.
Methods of Multiple-Criteria Decision Making
BRABCOVÁ, Michaela
This thesis explores methods of multiple-criteria decision making and their application on data gathered from yearbooks published by Czech Statistical Office and from my own survey based on a questionnaire. The main aim is to describe different methods of multiple-criteria decision analysis, demonstrate their applications, and illustrate the benefits and drawbacks on a specific case. The task is to compare quality of life in all districts of South Bohemia and compile their ranking. The alternatives examined are the counties of České Budějovice, Český Krumlov, Jindřichův Hradec, Písek, Prachatice, Strakonice, and Tábor. The selected decision criteria used in this evaluation consist of the price of apartments, rate of unemployment, quality of health care, average wage, criminality and rate of environmental pollution. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis depicts diverse methods of decision-making and their basic advantages and disadvantages. Examples of these techniques are methods based on aspiration levels, such as PRIAM, methods based on ordinal scales, ORESTE, and finally methods based on cardinal scale, such as Weighted Sum Approach, Analytic Hierarchy Process, TOPSIS, AGREPREF, ELECTRE, PROMETHEE and MAPPAC. The practical part describes the actual application of the methods on the selected case and final results of this work. The outcome includes rates of importance for each criterion and county rankings from best to worst based on the methods mentioned above.

Application of the methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives for assessment of accidental death and dismemberment insurance
ROUHOVÁ, Eliška
Decision making is an inherent part of human life. Every day we decide on little things, but also some more complex problems may appear. In such cases, we need to choose a more complex process leading to the final decision. To do so, many multiple-criteria decision-making methods can be used. These methods will be explored in this thesis. They will be used to select accident insurance according to the preferences and requirements of several respondents. Accident insurance protects the insured person against the impairment of their life caused by the consequences of their injury. Accident insurance is a commitment for many years, so its choice needs close attention. The choice of the insurance can be assessed based on of several criteria. Designing a model of multi-criteria decision-making strategy was the main goal of this diploma thesis. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part defines the concepts of decision making, multi-criteria decision making and its methods using specialized literature. It also defines the concept of insurance and its specifics relating to accident insurance. The practical part focuses on the specific solution of the given problem. The first step was a survey of offers of insurance companies operating on the Czech market that have separate accident insurance in their product portfolio. Based on these offers, decision variants have been created. The second step was to determine the five criteria on whose basis the variants were evaluated. After the general procedure has been established, the model has been applied. The proposed procedure was tried on a group of respondents to select the best offer for them. The target group, for which the procedure was designed, was set for people between the ages of 40 and 50 who do not have a risky job and do not engage in any hazardous leisure activities. Their preferences were determined by a questionnaire, based on which the decision matrices and weightings of the individual criteria were compiled. The optimal option was recommended to respondents.
Composition of the banking projects portfolio using the multi-criteria decision methods
Bozděchová, Slávka ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Šindelář, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with a multi-criteria analysis of the bank's portfolio of projects. In the ?rst part, projects that meet aspirational levels through bivalent programming are selected into project portfolios. This is followed by the weighting using the Saaty's method and ranking of the projects from best to worst using TOPSIS method. An integral component of the theoretical part is to get acquainted with the methods of multi-criteria assessment of the options and, also with the methods that determine the weight of the individual criteria. There is also a description of the company and the summary of the projects that are present in the work. The Conclusion contains a summary of the results and recommendations of the IT Credits & Consumer Finance Team which portfolio to choose.
Application of multiple-criteria decision analysis to select the optimal B-segment vehicle acquisition variant
VESELÝ, David
Theoretical part of the thesis describes principles of the multiple-criteria decision processes and methods that are considered as a very effective tool for solving more complex decision problem. Theoretical knowledge gained in the first part of thesis are subsequently used in the real case study, which searches for optimal B-segment vehicle according pre-set parameters. The study focuses on selection of a small company vehicle, firstly explores the real offer of B-segment vehicles available on the market in the Czech Republic. Work itself defines the selection criterion then assigns to each criterion appropriate decision weight, eliminates inopportune candidates and applies multiple-criteria decision analysis methods to find optimal acquisition variant. Final decision is concluded based on mix of the results obtained by the most suitable decision-making methods. Described procedure is applicable to both personal and company car or to any other asset acquisition.

Each czech crown is important for the budget of every household, particularly in the times of crisis. Saving can be achieved by selecting an appropriate insurance product, which is also the concern of this thesis. Because there exists a plenty of insurance companies on the czech market and majority of them offers several insurance products for each kind of insurance, it is not simple to choose the optimal product. On top of that, these insurance products differ not only in their price, but in various properties and additional insurance as well, which makes the task even more difficult. The most suitable insurance product can be found with multiple-criteria decision making, that was amended by the demand function in this thesis. The goal of the demand function is to advise those interested in the insurance whether they should or should not be insured under given circumstances. The thesis is designed so that it could be used for decisions of anybody interested in insurance on any insurance product.
