Veselý, Jakub ; Jančář, Petr (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The object of this mater’s thesis is to analyze current situation of information system at municipal office of Blansko and to review it. Subsequently to suggest other possible solutions and improvements. Formulation of economic and other advantages and possible disadvantages and problems that can occur in case of implementation of other OpenSource components.
Analyze of Open Source solutions for a small and middle size companies
Veselý, Jakub ; Veselý, Petr (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The object of this Bachelor‘s thesis is to describe the current software situation among small and medium companies and to demonstrate the possibilities of Open Source applications compared to closed source software. The possibilities of Open Software are clarified in terms of testing and studies. Case tudies show the potential of OSS/FS implementation in real environment. This work discovers the main benefits and disadvantages of Open Software and the reasons for their hitherto small usage.
Rootkit for MS Windows
Trutman, Michal ; Tomec, Martin (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods of attack on MS Windows operating system and maps techniques of resources hiding used by existing rootkits. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The first part covers classification of the rootkits, introduces the structure of the system kernel and then describes various techniques of attacking the system. In the practical part is described implementation and testing of my own rootkit.
Communication between devices using Bluetooth technology
Gasior, Ondřej ; Botta, Miroslav (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis focuses on communication between mobile devices running the Android operating system and the PCs running MS Windows via Bluetooth. The main task is to create an applications which creates network, representing virtual room, for the exchange of text messages (ie. instant messaging). This involves creating a platform independent protocol and consequently its actual implementation. At first, Bluetooth technology and its principles are discused in detail, then both supported platforms are introduced, including their programming languages. The conclusion focuses on designed protocol and the analysis of both application with their source code using including sample of format of sending messages.
Secure peer-to-peer communication system
Eliáš, Luboš ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Cvrk, Lubomír (advisor)
The main aim of this master's thesis is to implement a common, secure and peer-to-peer communication system. The system has ability to automatically establish and run a secure end-to-end connection. It has this ability even if a network address translator is in the way to the destination system, without need of any explicit configuration of this translator. The security procedures of this system are in a transparent manner masked from individual applications, which had to solve this challenge in their own way. A responsibility for a security is delegate to an application-independent subsystem working within the core of an operating system. The security of this subsystem is based on capturing the outbound and inbound IP packets and their authentication and encryption. The system was successfully implemented in MS Windows XP operating system, in programming language C++. Transfer rate of communication tunnel in different network bandwidth speeds was measured. Result shows, that in the case of use the system on standard PC sold nowadays is practically no decrease of the transfer rate in comparison to a common channel.
