Impact of German direct Investment on Czech-German Cooperation

The bachelor thesis is devoted to a topic of German direct investment and their impact on Czech-German cooperation. The thesis classifies foreign direct investment, investment incentives, location factors and their effects on domestic enterprises and host country. The thesis further deals with the inward flow of German investment and examines the role of German direct investment in the Czech Republic. Finally, based on personal consultations and questionnaire, the thesis evaluates the impact of Ger-man direct investment on the Czech market.
Analysis of location strategies of selected retail chains in Prague

Analýza lokalizačních strategií vybraných maloobchodních řetězců v Praze ABSTRACT This thesis explores the spacial distribution of retail chains within Prague; concentrating on 1) spatial patterns and retail distribution 2) transport accessibility within the vicinity of the store and 3) their proximity to food units. I have discussed the conditions that have shaped the changing face of retail to what it is today. Spatial configuration strategies were used to analyse the distribution of the retail environment. Following this, analysis was conducted at the levels of group, category and individual chains. The results showed retail in Prague was concentrated. However, significant differences were observed within categories and chains. Although food unit coverage is good throughout the city, pockets of areas exist that are not served by a particular store within a preferential distance. Production and distribution of elecricity in the Czech Republic - geographic analysis

The bachelor work presents analysis of production, consumption and delivery of energy in the Czech republic area. The introduction outlines the importance of electricity for the 21 st century society. It further mentions the goals of this work and alludes to the discussed hypoteses. The following literature review deals with already published facts. The chapter number 3 introduces used technical terms. The chapter number 4 describes the methodology used in these theses as well as procedures of data processing. The chapter number 5 notes the use of energy and electricity. The chapter number 6 is dedicated to the use of energy during the Czech history ? from the prime beginning to the present. Analytical chapter number 7 is the key chapter in this work. It pays attention to the current situation regarding electricity in the Czech Republic which includes the actual legislation, localization of all of the simultaneous energetic resources of the Czech republic as well as describes our production, consumption and distribution of electricity. The last part consists conclusions and bibliography.
The analysis of location factors for medium and large companies in the Vysocina Region

The work deals with the analysis of location factors for medium and large companies in the Vysocina Region. The main objective is to identify and categorize the location factors of medium and large companies in the Vysocina Region. A sub-goal is to identify and categorize the factors, which from the standpoint of the companies examined are missing in the region. In the theoretical part of the development of localization theory and location factors are defined and classified. Also includes a brief socio-economic characteristics of the Vysocina Region. The practical part is focused especially on the analysis of survey results. The data source was a survey conducted among companies which are based in the Vysocina Region, according to their total number of employees (50 and over). At the coclusion of the work are identified and tested new-found (tradition of manufacturing) location factors, which are then categorized into three groups. 1) Generally significant factors. 2) Factors relevant only for certain size categories or sector companies. 3) Minor factors. Factors, which from the standpoint of the companies examined are missing in the Vysocina Region, are also similarly categorized into three groups.
Regional spatial analysis of automotive industry in the Czech Republic

The present bachelor work deals with localization of automotive industry in the Czech Republic. The main goal is to identify regions with intense concentration of automotive industry. The work is focused on historical development of theory of location and evaluation of industrial location factors. The practical part of the work contains calculation of location quotients, location curve, elaboration of cartograms, and analysis of region with the highest concentration of automotive industry on analytic, cartographic and statistic basis and identification of significant location factors of automotive industry in the Czech Republic.
The importance of business networking in the modern localization decision making process

This Bachelor thesis "The importance of business networking in the modern localization decision making process" examines the business networking and its position within the location as a soft factor localization, which has not yet been significantly explored. The practical part consists of a questionnaire survey, whose respondents were people using networking and business networks and networking organizations. The aim of this study is to determine whether the business networking influences where and how companies are investing. And also determine whether the business networking is importance of soft location factor in these days and how is the business networking perceived by people who use it.
Přímé zahraniční investice v Česku a vliv na regionální rozvoj: příklad francouzské investice Decathlon

Foreign direct investment ("FDI") plays an important role in the global economy and it is mostly mentioned in literature in terms of its impacts on the host country and its regions. In my bachelor thesis, I try to specify these impacts focusing on the regional distribution of FDI in the Czech republic. In the introduction, there is generally characterized FDI, its factors and impacts on the host country. Then I've chosen the French direct investment as the fourth most important foreign investment in the Czech Republic. Based on the regional analysis of the distribution of the French investment, I evaluate factors and reasons of the French investment into the regions of the Czech Republic. Based on the results of the analysis of migration in Liberec, I describe the impact of the economic situation of Liberec on migration. In the last part, I show the investment process of the chosen French investment Decathlon.
