Polygonal Models Smoothing
Nečas, Ondřej ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
The result of digitalization 3d surface is affected by many factors. After digitalization can on the surface emerge some unwanted artefacts. The differences from original are caused by resolution of the device or its limited precision. For elimination of this artefact exists many smoothing algorithms, but we want to choose that which best suits this purpose. So it is useful to know their limits and characteristics.
Tooth Detection on Jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Hulík, Rostislav ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This document discusses a concept and implementation of algorithms for teeth detection on 3D polygonal jaw model. At first, I describe possible shape detection techniques on three dimensional computer model, including utilization just in my case. After it, I analyze filtration problems of obtained model segments in order to reliably separate regions of tooth-arch from the rest of jaw. I included all these pieces of knowledge into a final application. Here, it is possible to choose from two user interfaces, first, classic user interface which demonstrates possible utilization in real world and second, testing interface which demonstrates functions of each detection and filtration method used in program and their effect on detection. Application is written in C++ language in development environment of MS Visual Studio 2005 and compiled with MS VS internal compiler. Tested was under MS Windows XP and MS Windows Vista OS.
Polygonal Models Smoothing
Svěchovský, Radek ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
Object digitizing or 3D model transformation into surface representation brings defects in the form of noise. This thesis analyses the well-known approaches to the noise elimination from polygonal models. The reader will be concerned with the fundamental principles of smoothing and foremost the results of the comparison of different methods including Laplace method, algorithm Laplace-HC, Taubin's low-pass filter and bilateral filter.
Computer simulation of wave propagation on uniform transmission lines.
Slezáková, Renata ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The Aim of this work was to study theoretical principles of circuits with distibuted parameters. With oriented on simple wave propagation in homogenous transmissons ended by linear loads. Lossless transmissions, distortionless transmissions and generally lossy transmissions is algorithmized by „Lax-Wendroff approximation“ in Matlab language. In Matlab language is also created user interface with graphic animation.
Probability distributions of financial losses
Vacek, Lukáš ; Hurt, Jan (advisor) ; Zichová, Jitka (referee)
In this bachelor thesis, selected probability distributions which might appear useful for financial losses modelling are presented. Losses, risk measures and an example with a normality assumption are defined in the first part. Among others, the following distributions are presented in the second part: asymmetric Laplace distribution, skew normal distribution and generalized hyperbolic distribution. We present selected theoretical properties of these distributions. Procedures of a derivation of two asymmetric distributions from their symmetric cases are discribed. The asymmetric Laplace distribution is described more in detail, we also listed the maximum likelihood estimation with its implementation in software Wolfram Mathematica 10. The third part is a short numerical study, where an application of selected distributions is presented on real market data. Test of randomness and goodness of fit tests are performed.
