Ladislav Smoljak, editor of the Mladý svět magazine

This thesis deals with a not very well-known topic - it analyses the journalistic and publicist work of Ladislav Smoljak in the print media, especially in the magazine Mladý svět. It aims to reveal how Smoljak approached his work as a journalist, what were the specific features of his work, with what topics he dealt, and to what extent he contributed to the image of the magazine. I also include an article bibliography of Ladislav Smoljak during his time at the editorial office of Mladý svět. In the theoretical part, I present Smoljak's biography together with an outline of the historical context and a description of the Czechoslovak media scene of the time. The practical part then analyses Smoljak's texts and assesses his role in the magazine.
The Comical and its Impact in the Texts of Jára Cimrman's Theatre

This bachelor attempts to identify the reasons why Cimrman's drama are so popular for Czech audience. Especially by describing the linguistic practices which both authors Ladislav Smoljak and Zdeněk Svěrák used frequently to achieve comic effect. This bachelor is focused especially on literary part of Cimrman's drama. Theatrical aspect is only used in cases where it directly affects the proper understanding of humor, or to supplement and complement some parts of the analysis. This bachelor deals with a figure of Jára Cimrman, humor of his drama or drama of both authors.

Language and style of the plays written for Jára Cimrman Theatre This magister thesis deals with language analysis of the stage plays of Jára Cimrman Theatre. The opening chapter describes general information about the theatre and it's authors as well. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part is based on results of theoretical studies of different authors, especially Bohuslav Brouk, Henri Bergson, Ladislav Dvorský and Vladimír Borecký. The practical part contains the detailed language analysis of all 15 stage plays. This diploma work analyzes which types of language comic we can find there and how much are they extended. Linguistic performances are separated on the principle of linguistics on individual linguistic branches. This diploma work also discusses mystification as a common framework for realization of all comic means. Mystification in the plays of Jára Cimrman

This bachelor thesis analyses the mystification of the Theatre of Jára Cimrman. In the individual chapters it describes the basic areas that constitute the form of mystification. In these chapters is discussed the relationship between mystification and language comic, writing plays, text-appeal, magazine Český svět and acting. At the same time common features between Jára Cimrman Theatre and radio broadcasts Vinárna U Pavouka, which the theatre took over the basic principle - mystification from are pointed out. In the conclusion which is based on the description of partial relations is discussed that the mystification of the Jára Cimrman Theatre only works if there are present all the individual components. By mutual interdependence of all components and their consistent cooperation is achieved the maximum effect.
