In this master's thesis, one of the most modern concepts for monitoring wellbeing in an economic context is introduced – the Better Life Index by the OECD. This composite index, comprising 11 topics, addresses both material aspects of quality of life and other non-material areas. The aim of this thesis was to determine whether such areas of quality of life examined by the OECD are mutually compatible. This issue is explored in the analytical part based on correlation within time series of indicators and among static indicators of the Better Life Index. The results of the analysis are subsequently discussed and contextualized with other sources and the opinions of other authors. In conclusion, the main findings, and implications of this work for the recipients of the Better Life Index are presented.

Criminological aspects of euthanasia Abstract The subject of this thesis is the analysis of euthanasia in a criminological context. The thesis aims to present euthanasia in all its forms and to prove that despite the very different qualifications of these individual forms in the Czech criminal law, from the ethical and especially from the criminological point of view, these acts should not attract its attention if the defining features of euthanasia, such as the voluntary nature of this choice and full mental capacity for this decision, are observed. The thesis is divided into five chapters, with the first chapter defining the terms with which the thesis is concerned. The second chapter deals with euthanasia in the context of the Czech legal system. The third chapter introduces the theory of criminalization, which is then applied to euthanasia. The fourth chapter is devoted to the applicant for euthanasia and focuses on the reasons for the request to end one's own life; this consideration is made objective based on the quality-of-life theory. The final fifth chapter focuses on the euthanasia performer and the motivation for complying with the request despite the possible criminalization of such an act, even though it is often based on an imprecise distinction between acts and omissions or culpability. Quality of life of patients after kidney transplantation

Bachelor thesis "Quality of life in patients after kidney transplant" deals with issue of patient´s quality of livfe before and after transplantation. The objective of this thesis was to map quality of life before and after kidney transplantation in several dimensions - physical functioning, physical limitation, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional issues and mental health. In theoretial section is presented overview of kidney diseasees, proces of transplantation and quality of life. In empirical section are presented methods of data collection, realisation of survey and results of this investigation. Chosen Method was standardized questionaire SF-36 supplemented with soci-demographic and health related information questionaire devised by autor. It was distributed among patients of nefrological ambulantory practice in IKEM which underwent kidney transplantation. Results: Quality of life of patients after udergoing tranplantation of kidney was better then before transplantationin these areas: perception of one`s own health, walking up the stirs one and more floors, walking hundred meters, managing worload, lesser difficulities in activities of daily living. Implementace konceptu Smart City v Blansku

The bachelor thesis "Implementation of the Smart City concept in Blansko" deals with the evaluation of Smart City projects in Blansko. The aim is to map the current situation of the Smart City concept in Blansko and to propose further possibilities of its use in the development of the city. The first part of the literature search summarizes the knowledge about the background and current trends of the Smart City concept implementation in the Czech Republic with regard to the size of the city of Blansko. Furthermore, the current approach, Smart City projects in the city of Blansko are described and a strategic analysis of further possibilities of implementation is prepared using the SWOT method. In particular, it is proposed to strengthen the implementation in the areas of economy, environment, smart transport and cultural activities, where the primary research identified the interest of citizens.

Strategické plánování v Novém Městě na Moravě

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the quality of life in Nové Město na Moravě by means of a questionnaire survey with the residents in relation to the existing Strategic Plan of Nové Město na Moravě. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, recommended activities for a possible update of the document leading to an improvement of the quality in the town are determined. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on relevant literature concerning strategic planning, strategic plan and quality of life of citizens. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the Strategic Plan of Nové Město na Moravě, evaluation of the questionnaire survey and subsequent determination of recommended activities related to the current strategic objectives, priorities and measures. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, it appears that the residents are mostly satisfied with the quality of life in Nové Město na Moravě, especially due to the influence of sports and cultural activities. However, they are particularly negatively affected by the following issues: lack of use of commercial services, lack of housing, lack of parking and lack of employment opportunities.

Kvalita života a urbanizace chudoby v Peru

The thesis addresses the quality of life and urbanization of poverty in twenty-five regions of Peru and compares the situation in 2007 and 2017. The analysis includes Zipf's law, Gini index, beta and sigma convergence, composite indicator, and visualization of secondary data from the census and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Quality-of-Life Index consists of ten indicators according to income poverty, housing, education, fertility and citizenship. The results showed an uneven distribution of the population with urbanization around 79% in 2017. More than a third of the population lived in Lima and about a fifth in the regions of Piura, La Libertad, Arequipa and Cajamarca. About 79% of Peru's population still lived in their place of birth. Although the proportion of income poor has fallen, the Gini Index of urban income poverty has increased and still remained above 0.5. It pointed to growing inequality in income redistribution. Even if it is a middle-income country, over six million people lived in poverty in 2017, including one million in extreme conditions. The worst quality of life in cities was recorded in the tropical rainforests of Selva and in the mountain belt of Sierra. Between 2007 and 2017, the quality of life deteriorated in the regions of Pasco, Lima, Moquegua, Callao and Tacna. Gradually, the gap in quality of life between urban and rural areas is getting ever deeper.

This bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of quality of life and its regional inequalities in the Czech Republic. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the concept of quality of life and analyze secondary data to determine the quality of life in the Czech Republic. The practical part includes a proposed index of quality of life constructed from selected indicators. The objective is to ascertain whether regional differences exist in the Czech Republic and to identify the determinants of these differences. The outcome is the mapping of the quality of life in the regions of the Czech Republic.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the quality of life in the city of Třebíč. The aim of the thesis is to find out the current situation concerning the quality of life by means of analysis. The content of the theoretical part summarizes the existing knowledge of the literature on the subject. Subsequently, the practical part is devoted to the evaluation of the research itself. In the conclusion of the thesis, recommendations will be proposed that would lead to an improvement in the quality of life.

The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of the Smart City concept in Moravský Krumlov. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the level of implementation of the Smart City concept in Moravský Krumlov and, based on this analysis, identify possibilities for further development. The theoretical part characterizes individual areas of the concept, terms that are inherently associated with inteligent cities, and the topic of implementing smart cities in the Czech Republic. The practical part includes an analysis of the current level of implementation of the Smart City concept projects in Moravský Krumlov. Based on the results, possibilities for further development were proposed with regard to the city's development strategy.

Chronic somatic disease in adolescence

The aim of this work is to introduce the problematic of chronic somatic illness in adolescence. In some parts the ontogenetical approach is used. We describe the experience of the impacts of the illness in the area of closest relationship of the adolescent and his need to be seen as normal. The influence on family relationships is also described. So is the question of adherence and the relationship between the adolescent and health-staff. We describe also the influence on school performance and peers relationships. Attitudes of the adolescent to the future are also a topic of this work. Chapter seven describes possible psychosocial interventions for the adolescent and the family systém. The research proposal is aimed to find relationships between the HRQOL of adolescents suffering from psoriasis and their age, sex and some aspects of social and behavioral functioning.
