Approaches for Modeling the Exact Shape of the Gears

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the modelling an accurate tooth shape profile, with the goal to create parametric model of the chosen type of gear. In the introduction part the basic terms and classification of the gears are summarized. The following is the overview of the methods of construction an accurate tooth shape profile including examples in the form of planar involute, spherical involute and octoid profile. In the last section the methods of the modelling bevel gear, and creation of the model gear manufactured by Cyclo-Palloid method are described.

Production of bevel gear on universal CNC milling machine

This bachelor´s thesis deals with both theoretical describing of the bevel gears issues, thus creating a practical 3D model of the selected gear bevel gear and its NC machining programme for universal CNC machine tools with the help of a suitable CAD/CAM applications. At the end, an evaluation of this method compared to conventional machining methods in terms of techno-economic is made.
