Through transcriptions and analysis of the predefined criteria it is possible to evaluate formal characteristics of verbal and nonverbal communication of the sample, which however appears to be considerably affected by the simplified research situation in comparison to a real practical situation. Ježková, Kateřina ; Tomová, Šárka (advisor) ; Švarcová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis "Interaction and communication within a medical team" examinates work relations of doctors and nurses, forms and quality of their communication and their overall satisfaction with these processes. Attention is paid not only to the nurse - doctor relationship, but also to communication and interaction among members of individual teams. This thesis has two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part describes forms of communication and their characteristics. Also it talks about social interactions in a workplace and a medical team in itself. The empirical part summarises information from a survey, that took place in several divisions at Fakultni nemocnice Motol and Masarykova nemocnice in Usti nad Labem. Both doctors and nurses from selected units participated in this anonymous questionnaire. The closing of the thesis evaluates the results of a personal research and compares them with studies realized before.
