Možnosti úpravy bosých kopyt u koní
HLÍZOVÁ, Rozálie
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the possibility of modifying bare horse hooves. The aim of the work was to summarize the possibilities of modifying the bare hooves of horses using research. For practice in horse breeding, it is important to know what the hoof correction options are and how the individual methods differ from each other. In the first part of the thesis, research was carried out on the topic of the possibility of modifying the bare hooves of horses. Four basic methods were described here, such as pasture (horseshoe) trim, Dr. Strasser's method, HGM trim and mustang trim (natural trim). Furthermore, the possibilities of using the mustang trim in practice were written down, with a focus on a detailed description of the treatment procedures for sick and pathological hooves. Specifically, these are irregularities of the horse's limbs, tight hooves, hoof rot, laminitis, podotrochloosis and cracks in the hooves. In the second part was the methodology for measuring hooves. When 7 horses and 3 ponies of different ages and breeds were involved in the measurement. Horses are found in a variety of conditions. By measuring, the shape of the hoof can be objectively evaluated. Data on the size of the pectoral and pelvic hooves were compared with each other using descriptive statistics. It was observed that in ponies, the front hooves were 12 % longer than they were wider, which is less compared to the rear hooves, where the length was 27 % greater than the width. Similar results were reached in the case of large horses, where the length was 14 % greater than the width in the front hooves and by 22 % in the hind hooves. This confirms the more oval shape of the rear hooves compared to the front ones. Differences between the maximum and minimum value indicate the effect of breed on hoof size. From the results of measuring the tread points, shape deviations in the size of the hoof ball can be evaluated. The created methodology can be used for long-term observation of changes in the shape of the hooves when adjusting the mustang trim. Horse breeders have the opportunity to influence the horse's performance and health by choosing a suitable and regular trim.
Equinní rekurentní uveitida
PÍCHOVÁ, Dominika
ERU significantly impacts horse breeding not only in Europe. This disease, which can lead to recurrent inflammation of the uveal tract of the eye, is the main cause of blindness in horses. Its management and treatment require a careful and proactive approach from horse owners and veterinary ophthalmologists to minimize its effects and improve the quality of life for affected animals. Prevention, early diagnosis, and innovative treatment methods can play a key role in combating ERU. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to evaluate available data on the occurrence and treatment of ERU in various horses divided by age, gender, and type of housing through a questionnaire survey.

Architecture in Landscape – Winery
Nováková, Natalie ; Menšíková, Naděžda (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
Urbanist concept in the cadastral area of Strachotín village is based on spiral inspirations. The village is located on the banks of Novomlýnské nádrže and offers a wonderful view of Pálava. Therefore, for me, the most powerful motif has become the nature, which is cyclical, but does not repulse. The spiral has been applied to the driveway to a selected location offering the best view and communicating with the village. The function of the winery was supplemented by a small recreational riding complex. The functional solution offers the possibility of visiting, family recreation or organizing corporate events and presentations. When embedding functions, it was considered the most convenient mode of transport that would capture that function. This was further refined by the creation of public spaces that link to the various sites and the whole area. The actual mass solution of objects is inspired by Pálava itself, which is hard but delicate. For my most important objects, it "crystallized" and encouraged them to cover the greenery with the least important visitor.
Determination of Blood Pressure
Plch, Miroslav ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
The thesis includes a general introduction to monitoring and measurement of blood pressure of horses, the design of algorithms for pressure curve detection and the calculation of respiratory variabilities in mechanical ventilation under anaesthesia. The first two chapters focus on anatomy, on characteristics of blood flow and on vascular system. Then it deals with the measurement of blood pressure, monitoring of a horse under anaesthesia and it describes particular thermodynamic parameters. In the following part of the thesis, the methods of pressure curve detection are described. The last part contains the description of an algorithm designed for detection of pressure curve of horses in the environment of the program LabVIEW. The program calculates, displays and saves variabilities of systolic pressure, pulse volume, pressure amplitude, pulse frequency, peripheral resistance and vascular expansion from the detected values.

This diploma thesis is about causes of clubfoot in horses and therapy options. The goal was development of theoretical research and observation of development of clubfoot in the pony mare during her therapy. Collected data were evaluated. This thesis has two parts. First, theoretic, draws from many Czech and also foreign sources. Then an overview of causes of clubfoot in horses has been created. In the second, practical part, an observation and documentation of clubfeet of the pony mare was made. This observation lasted three years. Angles of hooves were measured by protractor and the data was evaluated graphically. Then data was evaluated using statistics too. The obtained data shows decreasing trend of angles of both clubfeet. So, we can conclude that effective hoof correction of this pathology is possible.
