Use of the Educational Trail "Okolím Kácova" in Teaching at Lower Secondary School

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with educational trails on various topics. The author outlines the history of touristic and educational trails. She deals with informational boards and with the meaning, theme, marking, equipment, building and upkeep of educational trails. Furthermore, the author focuses on field education. Here she mentions the contributions and disadvantages of teaching outside and some general information for pupils and teachers. The goal of the practical section is to create a methodical manual for teachers and a file of worksheets for pupils at the second stage of basic education (lower secondary education). These worksheets are to be used in the field teaching as a part of the educational trail "Okolím Kácova" in biology and geography lessons.

Castle and Village Kácov

The graduation theses "Kacov Castle" by Jan Závěta deals with the foundation, development and reconstruction of Kacov strongholds and later of the mansion up to the present. The main part of the thesis is related to historical development of the Kacov Castle and its extensive Baroque reconstruction during the reign of Toscan Princess. The author separately depicts the constructional-historical exploration of the castle and corroborates it with a copious photodocumentation. The architecture of the square, vicarage and the Church of Virgin Mary is brought in in other chapters. The Baroque sculptural group of The Fourteen Saint Servants, which was made under the previously mentioned Toscan Princess as well, is described in the same way. The author pursues the development of the community during the first half of the 20th century, when the village experienced the second golden age after the period of the Toscan Princess. Every year the community was visited by thousands of summer guests. The life there was very abundant, which he furnishes with "Sokol", decorative, theatral and other institutions' activities. In the last chapters the author occupies himself with the development of the village up to the present. He highlights so much needed, albeit fiscally challenging reconstruction of the Kacov...

Evaluation of historical flood, Sázava River, 1909

This Bachelor thesis deal with the problems of floods on river Sazava. There are described types and characteristic of floods. The thesis sums up methods of historical flood research. It reviews all known floods on Sazava since 1515 up until 2006. While researching these floods, some previous works about Sazava and also historical documents from archives were used. From the found events, the seasonality of floods is made. The floods in 1909 was researched in more detail in the Kacov profile. The cause-factors of the floods and their process are studied closely as is the process of the flood itself. For the Kacov profile, the specific curve was calculated and the flood wave was described. Bakalářská práce "Zámek v Kácově" stručně popisuje Kácov a dále historii majitelů zámku. Zaměřuji se na život a majetek nejvýznamnější majitelky zámku, Anny Marie Františky velkovévodkyně Toskánské. Dále píši o barokní přestavbě zámku, kde zmiňuji její dvorní umělce, kterými byli Karel Josef Moravini, František Cízar a sochař Ondřej Dubke. Velkou pozornost věnuji práci stavitele Václava Špačka. Popisuji také současný vzhled a vybavení kostela Narození Panny Marie a mariánského sloupu na náměstí, který zde nechala postavit kněžna. Zámek ukazuji v jeho dnešní podobě a popisuji způsoby jeho nynějšího využití. Father Jiří Jiljí Bouz, the Legacy of the Communist Regime Victim in the Light of Archival Documents

The thesis deals with the life of Jiří Jiljí Bouz, the victim of the Communist regime. The first part describes the life of J. J. Bouz, his formation, study and personalities that significantly influenced him. The next part presents his activities as a theologian and teacher in the Třeboň region and his membership in several clubs and organisations. The third part describes his first and second arrest, trial, incarceration, release; it also brings the memories of eyewitnesses, and information about his stay in Canada and persecution by the State Security (STB). The fourth part deals with the judicial rehabilitation and the fifth one presents some significant episodes from the final period of his life. The appendixes I and II in the text section bring for comparison the biographies of two personalities that significantly influenced the life of J. J. Bouz, namely his brother, Václav Aleš Bouz (martyrdom during the fascist occupation), and his friend and co-worker, Dean Jan Jordán Dostál (forced emigration due to the Communist totalitarianism persecution).
