Use of OpenGL from Java
Herich, Martin ; Vanek, Juraj (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with use of OpenGL library for 3D graphics rendering in Java programming language. It aims at project Java OpenGL (JOGL), which is the reference implementation for OpenGL in Java. Demonstration application presents base capabilities of rendering three-dimensional graphics in OpenGL such as boundary representation, lighting, texture mapping and interoperability between Java and OpenGL.
Interactive teaching aids for 3D computer graphics
Balusek, Radim ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of interactive tools for 3D computer graphics. The introduction of the thesis focuses on general theory of curves and surfaces and its mathematical description. The topics of Geometric transformation, Perspective projection and Parametric description of 3-dimensional surface are analysed in more detail. The successive chapter deals with the subject of visualisation of spatial objects in Java platform interface. The practical part describes the implementation of individual applets. JAVA programming language, which uses the library functions JOGL, was employed for the very realization of the interactive tools. The goal of the diploma thesis is the creation of a set of interactive applets in the field of computer graphics. These applets will be placed on the website of the faculty and they will serve students of VUT in Brno to improve the quality of education.
Use of OpenGL from Java
Židek, Michal ; Letko, Zdeněk (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the usability of Java in applications that use OpenGL graphics library. It provides basic information about the OpenGL library itself, and most commonly used methods to bind it with the Java language. It also aims to compare the performance of Java with C++ in applications that render 3D scenes. Two test programs were developed for this purpose, one in Java and one in C++. Both programs were tested in a set of tests, to measure the performance of both implementations while rendering the same scene.
Generator of 3D Objects Based on L-Systems
Kvita, Jakub ; Solár, Peter (referee) ; Vrábel, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create an interactive system for generating 3D models. The generator is based on L-systems as a kind of formal grammars and turtle graphics for 3D modeling. The application was created in Java SE using JOGL library as access point for OpenGL and rendering. The thesis analyze the theoretical basis of L-systems, turtle graphics and rendering 3D objects and then describes creation of application using the acquired knowledge.
