A Machine for Automatic Subject Indexing Using ToC
Pokorný, Jan
The technology developed in the National Library of Technology can extract a document’s table of content (TOC), generate relevant keywords, and suggest terms for various classification schemas (UDC, DDC, LCC, Conspectus). It can fully or substantially automate the process of generating subject access, unite it across libraries, and significantly increase accuracy and relevancy compared to subject assignments by non-specialist catalogers. Such increased quality in subject access terms is often seen in the superior subject facets generated by discovery systems and library OPAC advanced search forms.

Hrubanová, Magdalena ; Fischer, Jakub (advisor) ; Houžvičková, Helena (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the insurance market in the Czech Republic in 2004. The main goal of this thesis is to prove the hypothesis statement saying that the increase of the insurance market in each department statistics is corresponding with the increase of the national account system. I am trying to prove this hypothesis by comparing the compulsory insurance premiums and the gross value added. Based on the analysis of basic index deviations, the growth rates and the calculation of the correlation coefficient of the cyclic components of time series of the given indicators, the null hypothesis will be rejected. I consider the difference between the two methodologies as the main reason of the rejection. The secondary objective is the analysis of the insurance market using selected macroeconomic indicators and its comparison with the global economy. In this section I will analyze the gross value added, the employment, the income and the labor productivity. In the last part the insurance market in the Czech Republic will be analyzed using the following indicators: claims costs, loss, penetrance and density.
