Usage of UML and Archimate modelling languages in IT project analysis

This work focuses on the usage of the Archimate and UML modelling languages. Initially, a general description of Archimate and UML is presented, followed by an introduction to the modelling principles. The main part presents a practical application of these languages in different phases of the development of a sample IT project, with a focus on an emergency communication system. The IT project starts with a prep phase where the modelling languages are used to define the basic business needs. This is followed by the planning phase with a detailed specification of business processes, business objects, functional and non-functional system requirements. The work ends with an evaluation of the effectiveness and applicability of Archimate and UML based on the experience gained during the IT project.

The main object of this thesis is a design of the project with the utilization of project management principles in the chosen company. Company SynopsIS Technologies, a.s. is developing and selling a software solution for advocacy and law offices. The starting point of the entire process of designing is the strategic analysis of the current state of the company, analysis of the external environment and business field of the company. The main object is a designed project of the change, which will be used for project management in order to successfully reach set goals and minimize the risks of the project. A designed solution is using the support of Microsoft Project Professional 2016 software.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of change management in the company environment according to the project management principles, following the field of e-commerce of the company. The starting point for project processing is the result of a strategic situational analysis of the external environment and the industry sector and the analysis of the current state of the company CONTROLSOUND, s.r.o. considering the strategy of information and communication technologies as well as the marketing strategy. The combination of which creates an e-commerce system. The solution to the problem of managed change is to develop proposals and plans that will serve to implement the project itself and reduce the risk of failure of the change in the company. For planning and managing the project will be used Microsoft Project Professional 2016 as a software support.

The diploma thesis puts forward the proposal of the construction project of a generic ceble system in the company Sport Studio Suzan, s.r.o., which is engaged in small-scale sport functional clothing. Based on the theoretical part and the analysis of the current internal and external position of the copmany is designed the proposal of implementation generic cable system. The whole work is compiled according to the methodology of project management IPMA.

V prní části praci bude proveden průzkum teoretické informaci ohledne problemaiky proektového řízení IT projektů. V druhé částí bude popsan součásný stav ve vybrané společnosti a na zakládě tohoto stavu budou aplikované vhodné metodiky a nástroje pro realizaci projektu v návrchové části práci.

The second part is devoted to the analysis of the selected company and, therefore, serves as the basis for the development of the practical part. The third part of the bachelor's thesis, which represents the practical part, deals with the development of the actual project proposal for the implementation of the information system based on the analysis of the company, using the selected project management techniques and methodologies.
