The rate of stress load on standard nursing wards and intensiv care units.
Brzicová, Věra ; Kulhavá, Miluše (advisor) ; Ptáček, Radek (referee)
This thesis deals with the stress, strain and stress level of stress. It examines what more burdens on JIPu sisters and what the standard department, what are the specifics of their work. Compares the work load and nursing department and the standard JIPu. It looks at how the situation affects of stress nurses. It outlines the causes and manifestations of stress effects on the human organism. He is also the burnout that often occurs among workers in the helping professions. The thesis is focused on the shift operation (especially on night shift), relationships at work (sister-sister, sister-doctor), the aggressive behavior of patients, or the lack of sufficient time for patient care. Research method is a questionnaire distributed to the nurses and the internal standard surgical wards and ICU. The evaluation questions of the questionnaire confirms or overthrows the hypothesis that I set at the beginning of research. The hypotheses were confirmed hypotheses 2 and 5 of the hypothesis was not confirmed. It was confirmed that the exchange operation and overload nurses, patient aggression, care of confused patients and bad interpersonal relations a high burden on medical personnel and contributes significantly to the stress load of nurses. In conclusion, I mention that a large role in preventing and...
The needs of the ICU patient after myocardial infarction requiring V-A ECMO support
Procházková, Tereza ; Konopásková, Marie (advisor) ; Pražáková, Zuzana (referee)
Introduction: The coronary heart disease is still an actual topic. The mortality has been in recent years declining, but prevalence in the population stagnates, so involve a large group of patients. The incidence of acute myocardial infarction is still high. One of the methods of reperfusion therapy is the cardiac surgery by coronary artery bypass graft, which may be postoperatively complicated by the development of low cardiac output syndrome with the need of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. These patients require very specialized not only during the critical phase, but also during the long-term convalescence including rehabilitation, weaning from the artificial lung ventilation, self-sufficiency training and help with return to normal life. Literature search: The theoretical part is based on the research of National Medical Library (NLK) and Study and Scientific Library of the Pilsen Region (SVKPL). The PubMed, Scopus, Web of science and Science direct databases were used to search articles in professional publications, including the latest cohort studies. The periodicals Cor et Vasa, the European Heart Journal, Critical Care and the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing were used. An important source of information is the guidelines of the Czech Society of Cardiology (ČKS), European...

The incidence of acute myocardial infarction is still high. One of the methods of reperfusion therapy is the cardiac surgery by coronary artery bypass graft, which may be postoperatively complicated by the development of postcardiotomy cardiogenic shock with the urgency of the venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (V-A ECMO). The quality of very specialized and complex care for these long-term hospitalized patients depends on understanding their needs and ways of saturation. The aim of this study is to present these needs from the perspective of the patient and their family. Research questions ain to identify the main aspect of recovery, the factors negatively affecting the mental state of patients, the ways to help them by healthcare professionals and family, how can healthcare professionals help the family and how this experience has affected both the family and the patient. The research is carried out using a qualitative method of semistructured interview with six respondents with this type of anamnesis, who were hospitalized between 2015 and 2021 in the ICU of cardiac surgery department, and three of their relatives. According to the study's findings the main aspect of recovery is the patient's mental well-being. The dependence on help of others, muscle weakness and loss of intimacy...

Nursing documentation of anesthetist nurses
Prošková, Lenka ; Di Cara, Veronika (advisor) ; Chvojková, Kateřina (referee)
Nursing documentation of anesthetic nurses is not an common type of documentation in our country. In some workplaces, the medical record of anesthesia is supplemented with data needed to identify the nursing care provided. Therefore, nurses do not have their own nursing documentation at these workplaces, but they record the data in the documentation with the doctor, or continue the records on the decree sheet. Each medical facility in our country has its own system of health documentation, which makes a logical, continuous unit. The aim of my research was to find satisfaction of the nurses in the examined medical facility with the established system of medical documentation, more precisely anesthetic nursing documentation, which is related (not only) to surgical procedures. Describe how many documents are created in connection with the operation and which of them affect nursing care records. Whether they are clear, readily available, and capture the necessary data for all nurses involved in patient care in the operational fields. The choice for research was a quantitative survey using a questionnaire prepared in writing. Respondents were surgical nurses, ARO, ICU, adult room and anesthetist nurses. Part of the research was the study of existing papers, which fill anesthetist nurses and documents...
Intensive care unit delirium from nurses perspective
Křížová, Jana ; Hocková, Jana (advisor) ; Maffei Svobodová, Ludmila (referee)
Intensive care unit delirium from nurse's perspective Introduction: Delirium is a disturbance of consciousness, one of the most frequent organ dysfunctions in the ICU. Delirium occurs in 60 - 80% patients who receive mechanical ventilation and is independently associated with increased mortality and development of post-ICU neurocognitive deficit in adult ICU patients. It is recommended to monitor delirium routinely with validated screening tools (CAM-ICU or ICDSC). Experienced and well educated nurse, armed with appropriate diagnostic tools, can actively participate in prevention, diagnosis and therapy od delirium. Objective: This Master diploma thesis objective was to get to know current knowledge of nursing staff working in Czech ICUs about delirium and their clinical praxis. Method: Quantitative research was conducted with a questionnaire filled by nursing staff of ICUs for adult patients in two university and one regional hospital in Czech Republic from August to September 2017. Results: Altogether, 110 questionnaires from 130 have returned (84% return). The outcomes showed that 63% of nurses are sufficiently informed on ICU delirium, 66% would appreciate more education on the subject. All in all, 51% of nurses don't prevent delirium in their patients and 35% don't even know what are the...
