Design of Hearing Aids in LabVIEW
Macíček, Ondřej ; Tannenberg, Milan (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis contains the block diagram of hearing aid, anatomy description of human hearing system and description of most important physical values in this problematics of hearing and sound. There are analyzed several types of hearing tests for diagnosis of the hearing loss level and some types of algorithms, which fit the frequency characteristic of patient's hearing loss too. Further this thesis contains interactive program of hearing aid, which has implemented equations for sound equalization.
Design of hearing aid
Svoboda, Adam ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the physiology of the auditory system and defects that cause temporary or complete deafness. It was created program in Matlab, which allows modification of the speech signal to simulate hearing loss and subsequent multi-channel amplification, presenting function of the digital hearing aid. It also deals with distribution of hearing aids according to the material and software and there is dismantled some modern systems from Siemens and functions that may include hearing aids.
Induction loop amplifier
Flek, Petr ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
The goal of this master thesis was to study the theory and to realize an induction loop for railway rolling vehicles, to design and manufacture a functioning prototype of electronic amplifier, which carries out all the requirements. This thesis includes detailed information about the induction loop system, its position and performance, following with the design of the amplifier, execution of the design and with the conclusion of measured parameters for the accomplishment of the required parameters.

Commented translation: Lucas or our way to CI
Petrdlíková, Jana ; Žárská, Monika (advisor) ; Maroszová, Jana (referee)
The aim of these theses is to translate a part of the book Lukas, oder unser Weg zum CI from the German original into Czech, to make a translation analysis and comment on the translation. The work consists of two main parts: the translation and the commentary on the translation. The second part is than divided into translation analysis based on the model by Christiane Nord and translation problems and shifts.

Readiness of hospitals for admission of children with surdopaedic defects
TENKLOVÁ, Monika
Hearing is the most sensitive of all human senses. Together with sight, it serves as a means of communication and social interaction. Children with congenital hearing impairment lack the preconditions for development of speech. In this case, a long-term speech therapy is needed. The theoretical part of the thesis is concerned with hearing impairments. It mentions children with hearing impairments and also the education of nurses. I describe paediatric units and the work of nurses in these units. Two objectives were set for this bachelor's thesis: to find out whether nurses working in a hospital paediatric unit are ready to care for patients with hearing impairment and to examine how well the hospitals are equipped to care for these patients. The research part of the thesis was conducted as a qualitative research with nurses working in a paediatric unit in the form of a semi-structured interview. The interviews with nurses were then transcribed using verbatim transcription. Altogether, ten nurses working in three different hospitals were interviewed; two of these hospitals are located in the South Bohemian Region and one in the Central Bohemian Region. The first part of the research examined the qualification education, lifelong learning and education possibilities for nurses in the area of deaf education. We were also interested in the experience of nurses with the hospitalisation of children with hearing impairment in the paediatric unit. In the next part of the research, we examined the deaf education tools and modern technologies that could make care of children with hearing impairment easier. We were also interested in cooperation between the hospitals and special education teachers. In both hospitals in the South Bohemian Region, a teacher (not specialised in special education) is available in the unit, but the hospital in the Central Bohemian Region has not had any teachers in their unit for several years. So far, none of the nurses have experienced a special education teacher working in their unit. The last part of the research is aimed at nursing care of patients with hearing impairment. The nurses think that they are ready to provide nursing care or that they are expected to be. The research showed that there are occasionally children with hearing impairment in the paediatric units, but the nurses are not able to communicate with them using sign language. The paediatric units have experience with hospitalising these children, but in spite of that, they have no deaf education tools or modern technology available for them. These findings will be published in a nursing journal.
The specialized social consultancy in sphere of hearing like a implement of improvement in social function
ENTLICHEROVÁ, Ivana
In my thesis I explain the basic terms in the field of hearing impairment. One of my topics is what is for hearing impairment people specialist social consulting and social functioning. I divide hearing impairment people according to their loss of hearing. I describe and divide compensatory aids for this target group: communication barriers (hearing aid, personal amplifier, turned-up cell phones), then for information barriers (an induction loop, wireless headphones and headphones for radios and TVs) and in the end barriers deal with a contact with an external environment (signalling of a door bell, signalling of time or others actions). Due to wideness of this problem I am focused on the communication barrier which is the most important one from the point of view of social excluding. Other communication barriers follow this one. I deal with a qualitative research using the method of "coincidence selection" and a technique of a semi-controlled dialogue. The research was done in Poradenské centrum pro sluchově postižené v Táboře.
Comunication of Auditory Disabled Children within the Educational Proces
TRMALOVÁ, Hana
This project focuses on the comunication of auditory disabled children within the educational process. This project is divided into two section. The first part is theoretical and describes the kinds, levels, diagnostics, compensatory tools, ways of comunication and education of auditory disabled people. For this task was used scientific literature listed on the page n. 68 of this project. The practical part was being done in form of questionnaire and a research at special schools. The questionnaire was given to the teachers who teach there. The goal of the research was to find out what the most used way of comunication of auditory disabled children is and how those children learn.
