Application of "SIL" integrated circuits for pressure vessel filling
Červený, Patrik ; Steklý, Jakub (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the application of process safety according to SIL for pressure vessel filling in the energy industry specifically in a petrochemical plant for oil processing. The thesis includes a brief research of IEC 61511 and IEC 61508 standards that are used here, definition of pressure vessel, SIL analysis procedures, HAZOP hazard and operability study, process simulation in TIA portal and developed an application for error generation in C# using S7.Net library. The application generates faults that may commonly occur in operation and the process simulation responds in a safe manner. A HAZOP and SIL analysis of the process was performed in collaboration with McDermott and the results were summarized. Subsequently, a process simulation with applied protection was created.
Software Support for Risk Analysis
Psota, Michal ; Štěpánková, Vladěna (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the theoretical description of risk management options related to information technologies and describes methods used to risk analysis. Described methods are fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, FMEA, HAZOP and Markovov analysis. Practical part includes proposal and implementation of program that visualizes decision trees and determines probability of each tree item.
Risk Analysis for Intermittent Water Supply Systems
Alayoubi, Mzayan ; Říha, Jaromír (referee) ; Munka,, Karol (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Intermitted Water Supply strategy is implemented commonly in some developing countries nowadays in order to minimize the water scarcity problems. Unstable hydraulic conditions in the distribution system, low pressure, high risk of water contamination, wasting water, rising costs paid by consumers and water providers, failures and problems with consumption metering and inconvenience to consumers are some of the consequences. Risk Analysis Methodology is developed to handle with intermittent water supply systems in developing countries conditions that include undesired events identification; risk estimation and risk evaluation and reduction plan, the catalogue list of potential undesired events (UE) which may occur in these types of systems have been also developed using the HAZard and OPerability technique (HAZOP). The developed methodology is implemented and tested in this research on one of the potential undesired events UE _ Low operational pressure
Bandsaw Control System
Filipský, Dalibor ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
This paper describes the design of a control system for a band saw. Content of work can be divided into five parts. The first part contains introduction to the basic functions of a band saw, it’s division and structures. Furthermore, the construction and parameters of a band saw created by an amateur and to which the control system is designed. The second part is dedicated to the design and creation of simulators for bandsaw function, both manual control mode and the automatic mode. The third part deals with the analysis of the risks associated with safety and operational reliability of the device. The fourth part focuses on the design of control algorithms for programmable controller and creating a suitable simulator that will represent a real physical device. In fifth part, designed algorithm is applied and tested on created simulator for bandsaw.
Risk Analysis Extension in RTC System
Filičko, Dávid ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis is about the risks, what is the risk and what methods exist for risk analysis with the focus on HAZOP, FMEA, ETA and FTA. At the end of the thesis is described RTC system, design and inpmelentation of extesion for the system.

Analýza bezpečnostních rizik při zpracování elektrárenských radioaktivních kalů do nízkoteplotních matric
Svoboda, Štěpán
The aim of thesis is identification, risk analysis and and following design of technical modification and procedures on field of the low-level mixed wastes treatment. In the first part of the thesis is provided short discusses repository requirements for solidificated wastes in Czech republic. Next are described methods and matrix (including short describes of further high temperatures methods) in point of view of their specifics characteristics and risks given by their. The risks are assessed in three basic categories. The first is influence to human healthy (radiation, dust, etc.). The second is the technical safety which corresponds to level of safety of machinery equipment. The third is the technological safety depending on properties of waste together with matrix. In the next part is described experimental equipment and method for risk evaluation. Sequentially is carried out risk analysis by HAZOP method applicated on proposal of machinery equipment developed for using cement matrix, together with hierarchization of identificated risks. For more serious risks are suggested measures and solutitions for minimization their impacts. In the next part are described carried out experimets and results after implementation some recommended measures.
