Scripting Language on the Java Platform
Genserek, Michal ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This thesis aims at JSR223 compliant scripting languages on the Java platform including a description of the application interface that is part of the specification. The thesis also discusses possible problems resulting from using the scripting languages on the Java platform including possible solutions of this problems. Description of the languages Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Groovy and Clojure including eventual differences between this languages' different implementations is also included in the thesis. The thesis also contains a set of tests for comparing described languages' performance. The results of this comparison including results for different Java virtual machines are also included in the thesis. Tool for benchmarking of the scripting languages under the JSR223 application interface was developed as part of the thesis.
Traceability module for SCADA used in process industry
Byrtusová, Lucie ; Pásek, Jan (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on implementing a module for batch traceability into the existing SCADA system MagmaView. First, the theoretical part is dedicated to the research of ANSI/ISA-95 standard and traceability problematics in the process industry. First, the practical part analyses the design of the data model and model for user interaction. The next topic is the implementation of the mentioned models using several software tools such as the graphical environment of MagmaView, Groovy scripting, and communication with SQL database. Part of the implementation is also a testing project simulating a simple production process and the needs of the operator to work with the batches.

System integration testing by SoapUI
Petržilka, Jakub ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on software testing, especially on System integration testing phase and automatization of this process. The main objective of this thesis is to create case study, in which the open source system SugarCRM is fully tested via testing tool SoapUI. Testing process in case study is executed according to methodology, which is focused mainly on testing of web services by SoapUI testing tool. Theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to explanation of testing process, test automation and terms, which are commonly used in testing. Next part is devoted to integration of infor-mation systems. Practical part is dedicated to creation of the case study. In this part, the SoapUI testing tool and system SugarCRM, are described. In the case study, all testing activities are presented.
Frameworks for developing web applications Grails and Play
Tran, Lam ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Batelka, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis compares Grails and Play frameworks. The main goal of the thesis is to provide its readers a comprehensive view of benefits and disadvantages of the two frameworks using thorough comparison. In the first part of the thesis Grails and Play are introduced. In the next part the author defines criteria for comparison and analyses the sample application. The crucial part of this work is the comparison of the frameworks and their results. This work is intended to make the decision proces easier for developers who wants to choose one of these frameworks for their projects.
Programming language Groovy and its effectivenss of inslusion in teaching
Daňhel, Jan ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Oraný, Vladimír (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the programming language Groovy. The target audience should be those who want to learn more information about it, and those who want to explore the possibilities of language in relation to domain-specific languages (DSL). Work contains a general summary of the language and its inclusion in the context of programming lan-guages. The following briefly explains how to work with the language in simple examples. Main advanced features are not omitted, they are briefly described and demonstrated in the examples. The summary of advanced functions is followed by their use in domain-specific languages. Finally, it summarizes the effectiveness of the inclusion of teaching the Groovy language.
Automatizované testy bankovního softwaru
Gajdošík, Michal
The objective of this work is to design and implement a set of automated tests to verify the correct functioning of banking software features. The work introduces tools for automated testing. The output of work is a set of automated tests, which are created by using tools including SoapUI, IntelliJ IDEA and PL/SQL Developer. Ruby on Rails and Grails - frameworks for web application development
Černý, Michael ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Lukáš, Martin (referee)
The thesis compares web frameworks Ruby on Rails and Grails. The main goal of the thesis is to compare which of these frameworks is more convenient for development of web applications using wide range of criteria. The first part of the thesis defines fundamental terms to understand the web frameworks topic. Subsequently the thesis analyzes the history, language and fundamental characteristics of both frameworks. The next section describes all the details of the reference applications in Ruby on Rails and Grails, that are part of this diploma thesis. The most important part of this thesis is the comparison of both frameworks using a number of criteria. The thesis should provide sufficient amount of information to understand the web frameworks, to obtain the fundamentals for working with the web frameworks Ruby and Rails and Grails and it should bring enough information for optimum choice between these frameworks for development of web application and for future studies. The thesis could be of benefit to both students, that decide what to study in the future, and managers or project leaders, that decide which web framework to use.
Design of a web application for athletes and their training process management.
Šimůnek, Dominik ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Rais, Aziz Ahmad (referee)
This master thesis deals with the development of the web application to support athletes and their training management. The application will be useful both for athletes and their trainings evidence and indicators calculation and for the couches and the trainings planning. The evaluation of the existing tools for the training management and evidence is made as a part of the thesis. Based on this, the consultations with the athletic couches, athletes and the author's experience, the functionality requirements are determined. The use cases of all the potencial users and the class diagram of the application are defined following the requirements. Latest web technologies such as Grails and Groovy were used during the application programming. The result is publicly available and running at www.goodathlete.cz.
