The bachelor thesis deals with the impacts of the reform of financing regional education in the first months of functioning. The issue is researched at high schools in the district of Břeclav. First, the basic concepts are clarified which relating to the public sector, public goods and public finances. The thesis describes the system of financing before and after the reform. Finally, the initial effects of the reform on selected high schools in the district of Břeclav are identified.

TITLE: Analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts on the territory of the capital city of Prague. AUTHOR: Eva Štrobachová ABSTRACT: In my final paper I focused on the analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts between 2008 and 2010. The theoretical part introduces and describes the status of education within the public sector, defines the concept of an organization receiving contributions from the State budget and describes the way of financing the organization by its founder. It also mentions the relevant laws. Attention is paid to the question of establishing criteria of rationality of costs for submitting proposals of operating budget by school directors to the founder. The aim of this bachelor's paper is to compare the structure of operating costs in primary schools, monitoring of the indicators, the procedure and system of distributing contributions from the founder of the schools as well as to suggest possible solutions leading to a higher effectiveness of drawing up operating budgets of primary schools. Public expenditures on education in Denmark and in the Czech republic

The thesis is based on the financing of educational system in the Czech Republic and Denmark, and it focuses on the resources which are associated with this branch. It deals with all levels of the educational system and presents different ways of its financing from public funds. The main attention is given to the comparison of funding systems' structures with emphasis on the differences between the two countries. Following part studies the development of partial and total public expenditures on education, including its relation to the key macroeconomic indicators. In the last part of the thesis I come up with my own ideas of adopting certain elements from Denmark to Czech model of financing education.

Financing secondary stage of education in the Czech Republic - case study

This Bachelor's Work deals with the secondary school system. The aim of the work is to find out how the secondary stage of education is being financed in the Czech Republic. Further there are investigated the form of the secondary school system itself and organization of education in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into four parts. The first part covers the education generally and it classifies its position in the frame of economics. Further on the organisation of education system in the Czech Republic and its separate stages are defined. The second part of the text is concentrated on the secondary schools only. Various types of schools are given as well as the process of study - from the admission to the graduation. The system of new state school leaving exams is mentioned here, too. The third part concentrates on financing of education. The ways of financing and funding are defined generally with a more detailed view of financing of secondary schools. The types of price directions are given as well as the concrete values for the given directions. The conclusion of the third part deals with secondary education in the Middle Bohemian district. The fourth and last part covers a concrete school. This school is being classified both from formal aspect and from the financial viewpoint i.e. from the accountant statements of the school.
