Optimizing Test Evaluation of the steering column
Janda, Radek ; Knobloch, Josef (referee) ; Pernikář, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the study of the procedure of evaluation of the crash tests made on car steering columns and the subseuent optimalisation of this procedure by creating an evaluation sequence. The theoretical part contains the description of the testing environment and the description of the procedure of the crash test in use. Further in this section there is a description of several computer programmes which are used in the testing and evaluation procedure. The practical part starts with a description of the developement and the creation of the evalution programme that is able to evaluate the tests without the need for the operator to evaluate them himself. The results gained from the programme are veried in the following chapter. The conclusion is focused on comparing the old evaluation method with the new one that uses the evaluation sequences.
Application for Food Quality Rating for iOS
Bobák, Petr ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
In this thesis I deal with development of mobile application for iOS platform which is part of ''food quality rating in catering facilities'' student project. I am describing a journey starting from interface design through implementation details about user interface and application logic to final evaluation of this application. Design of interface and evaluating is my main point of interest. I have followed prototyping methodology throughout the development with which I also acquaint the reader. User can effectively get access to rating and comments of dishes with this application. It is also possible to create, rate, comment and add useful information about the dish. User interface respects environment and situation in that way the user is not distracted and disturbed when using the application actively. The thesis brings to the reader current view of the development of mobile applications whose market has grown in recent years rapidly.

Team work and its evaluation on the example of software testing
Bayerle, Petr ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Hrubec, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on team work during a process of software testing and is divided in three main parts. The first part of this thesis presents main issues, goals and philosophy of software testing. This part is also aimed at core competency of software tester. The second part is aimed at definition of team, teamwork and its advantages and disadvantages. There are discussed ways how it can be measured and evaluated. The third part contains an analysis of real software development project. Significant barriers of team efficiency related to team communication and information flows within and between teams are identified and discussed. Finally there are shown some ways how they can be faced.
Measurement and evaluation of economic efficiency of investments in informatics
Koumar, Vít ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
This work discusses the possibilities of evaluating economic efficiency of investments in information systems and information and communication technologies (IS/ICT). The goal is to summarize the theme beginning from general measurement of informatics, continuing with the detailed description of costs and benefits of IS/ICT and ending with the research of methods used for economic efficiency evaluating. Nevertheless such analysis is not an easy task in the field of information systems and technologies. It is quite difficult to specify the benefits directly generated by an IS/ICT investment project or it does not even have to have a sense in some cases. An investment does not necessarily have to make profit directly (and it is a frequent phenomenon in IT environment). In such cases, we usually do not seek the accounting profit. We would most likely prefer to know all the desired (or measured in past) benefits that we could consequently convert to financial units (more or less accurately). By contrast, accounting costs are generated by every investment project without an exception and to identify them is not a severe task, but difficult part is to unambiguously assign all costs to their source investment project. This work's goal is to explore the possibilities of dealing with such issues. The first part contains an introduction to the matters of the measurement in enterprise informatics. Important terminology and the process of measuring enterprise informatics according to international standards ISO / IEC is discussed too. The second part is to describe the issues of costs and benefits of enterprise informatics and its investments. There are discussed the most important classifications and techniques used for cost calculations. The chapter on the benefits of informatics is mainly focused on division of benefits, the basic rules of the benefits metric model creation and the key business metrics, which are used for the expression of benefits of enterprise informatics most frequently. The third part describes the methods used in practice for evaluation of economic efficiency using the values of costs and benefits identified in the second part. The final chapter then uses some of these methods for the solution of two case studies from the author's practice described in the final charter. The thesis provides a comprehensive guide to assess an investment in enterprise informatics in terms of its economic efficiency and thus can serve as a basis for rational decisions on investment projects of enterprise informatics. The main contribution of this work is to summarize the topic and as well the practical calculations in the case studies which will help company executives make simpler and more rational decisions.
Evaluation of investment project
Shakirov, Vil ; Scholleová, Hana (advisor) ; Špaček, Miroslav (referee)
This diploma work is intended for estimation of value of investment project in the field of special chemical industry. The theoretical part contains brief overview of existing classic evaluating methods and a description of relatively new real options method. The evaluation by itself consists of NPV determination and sensitivity analysis for input parameters. After that, there is an application of real options tool for evaluating of project's flexibility. The possible conclusion of this work is that real options are effective tool to apply in addition to classic methods of investment evaluation.
