Czech-Cuban Relations and the Issue of Human Rights

Thesis deals with the development of relations between the Czech Republic and Cuba. It focuses particularly on their relationship at the time of bipolarity and in current relations takes into account the issue of human rights which is the major determinant of their relations. One of the chapters concentrates on the relationship between the European Union and Cuba. The goal of the thesis is to analyze, how the Czech Republic can influence events in Cuba and its possible transition to democracy.
Position of Denmark in the EU and in the international trade

The bachelor thesis examines the position of Denmark in the European Union and in the international trade. In the first part of my thesis I define the danish economy, with the focus on macroeconomic analysis compared to the analysis of the European Union, and development of Danish crown. In the second part I have a deep view into the danish international trade, the main trade partners and investment climate. In third part I describe Denmark as a member state of EU with importance to danish opt-outs.
Problems of oil supply from the Russian Federation to the European Union.

The essence of my thesis implicates the significance of oil industry in foreign economic relations of the Russian Federation and the European Union, and also reinsurance of international energy security. As it is about global markets and well notable business partners, each of them hold undeniably eminent positions in the system of foreign relations of both countries, the problem of supply of energy resources, specifically the oil from the Russian Federation to the European Union, is very much actual and has an extensive significance for both Russian and Global economies. The energy problem is critical for the whole world community. It is clear, that short-term global product deficit of oil causes uncontrolled growth of prices, and slowdown of global economy. The international energy security doesn't only consist in depletion of oil reserves, but also in prevention of regional crisis and political instability in countries producing oil, due to scarcity of free production capacity against fast growing global demand for oil.
Immigration into the European Union from the Third World Countries

The thesis aimes to quantify the population of the sample of the European Union member states born in the Third World Countries. The interpretation based on those migration data unveils the main push and pull factors fostering migration between the analzyed regions. The following part discusses social, cultural and economical impacts of immigration into the European Union from the Third World Countries. The last part reviews the migration and asylum legislation framework of the European Union.
Legislation of the institutions of the European Union under the Treaty of Lisbon

The thesis focuses on the comparison of the current and precedent functioning of central organs and institutions in the European Union as the Lisbon Treaty came into effect. The thesis analyzes effected legislative changes in comparison with those in the Treaty of Nice. Furthermore the thesis deals with a characterization of the Lisbon Treaty, its form, the complicated process of ratification and entering the document into force. The final part is devoted to the practical implementing of the changes in the structures of the Union.
Consumer protection in internet environment

The thesis deals with the protection of a consumer when shopping online, both areas of the Czech Republic and the European Union are covered. In the first part of my thesis I focus on the internet and online shopping. In the second part I concentrate on the legal environment of the Czech Republic, in detail I describe the relation between the consumer and the enterpreneur from a draft contract to sales returns. In the European Union part the ways how the EU protects consumers are described and the main attention is given to the most important directives that concern the online shopping. I tried to compare them with their implementation into the Czech legal system. In the last part of my thesis I tried to illustrate the possibilities and prospects of online shopping as well as of consumer protection in this particular environment.
Trans-European transport networks and the eastern enlargement of the EU

Work deals with the traffic problems of the European Union, specifically deals with trans-European transport networks. It examines the development, funding, current projects and the involvement of the Czech Republic into the system. Closer attention is also analyzed the role of Galileo. The goal is to provide a detailed overview of the trans-European transport networks, to analyze the current network status and to evaluate the importance of transport networks for international trade. Notes on the problems that currently occur and need to be addressed as soon as possible. Work also suggests some solutions to these challenges. Work it was found that the Trans-European Networks are a very good project that has a future.
Energy security of the CR and EU in context of the foreign relations with Russia

This diploma thesis dissertates about energy security of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the context of the foreign relations with Russia. It is focused on Russia as the biggest supplier of energy resources to the fore mentioned regions. Energy dependence of EU and the Czech Republic on Russia exceeds 50 %. This dependency is inevitable and is caused by the insufficiency of EU's and Czech Republic's own resources and above all it is very dangerous because of Russia's frequent nondemocratic behavior. The gap in demand of energy resources cannot be covered even by alternative energy recourses, which are in this thesis divided into renewable recourses and nuclear energy.
Comparation of the conditions of doing business in three selected countries of European Union

This diploma project deals with the current economic situation in European Union market and subsequently in the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Sweden. The analysis of the above mentioned countries was chosen due to the different conditions in doing business and approach to social and economic issues. The main purpose of this project is to find out the conditions for doing business in these three chosen countries. Following questions should be answered: "Is it beneficial to settle business during the financial crisis? Which of the chosen countries has the most optimal conditions for businessmen?" The first part of the diploma project deals with approach of the European Union to small and medium companies and describes the programs which serve as a support for business. In subsequent parts of the diploma project there are exact information for businessmen about above mentioned countries (tax rates, conditions for employees, availability of business establishment and related fees). In the last part of the diploma project there is a particular business plan describing the establishment of the fashion shop for ladies with detailed calculation of costs. Based on the analysis it is possible to classify expediency of this kind of business in capitals of the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Sweden considering domestic conditions, rental costs, other operating costs and real revenues which can be reached in this tough time.
European union - the dilemma of regional integration

This thesis aims to analyze the contemporary tendencies of integration in the European union. It examines the problem of new members from economic, social and cultural point of view. In the next part it deals with deepening of integration into the new, especially political matters among the old member states and their willingness or unwillingness to continue in the process of integration. The last part is focused on the concepts of multi-speed Europe, what are the benefits and risks of asymetric integration
