This thesis elaborates the character of Bulgarian Republic development over last years in the view of current situation, which is remarkably influenced by the global financial and economic crisis. The core of this thesis is to map the difficult path for Bulgaria's membership in the European Union, its entry into these structures and the subsequent development during the first 3 years of membership. Finally, I review the present position of Bulgaria in the EU and evaluate the overall benefits for Bulgaria joining the European Union and whether the country was able to complete the necessary reforms and deliver on promises, which it made before the accession to the Union.
Environmental Problems in Europe in Relation to the Environmental Policy of the European Union

This thesis deals with certain environmental problems in Europe and with attempts to solve these environmental problems within the framework of the European Union. The purpose of this work is to make its readers acquainted with the scope of the EU environmental policy and Community legislation on the protection of the environment. The thesis is focused on four main subject-matters: (i) climate change as a consequence of the global warming process, (ii) air pollution and the ozone layer depletion, (iii) water contamination and (iv) soil degradation. The issue which of the environmental problems require a regional approach and which a global approach is also considered in the thesis.
Position of Germany in International Trade

The objective of this thesis is to assess current developments in the German economy position within international trade, in relation with the current economic situation in the country. This work represents Germany in general terms using the macroeconomic variables, the second chapter deals with foreign trade relations between Germany and the European Union, the USA and China and the last section analyzes the mutual cooperation between Germany and the Czech Republic.
Interdependence between the U.S. and EU in the context of global financial and economic crisis

The thesis focuses on particular aspects of actual financial and economic crisis through which describes interdependence between the economies of U.S. and EU. First part analyses the origins of financial crisis, second part focuses on consequences of economic crisis and third part describes European economic recovery plan and calls for nessesity of coordinated economic policies of EU.
The process of engagement of the Czech Republic in the common commercial policy of the European Union

This bachelor thesis deals with the process of engagement of the Czech Republic in the common commercial policy of the European Union. The bachelor thesis is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter speaks about the Czech Republic and its access to the European Union in 2004. The second chapter speaks about the trade policy of the Czech Republic and its instruments before 2004. In the third chapter, the bachelor thesis describes changes, which happened in the Czech Republic after it has become a member of the European Union, and accepted of the rules of the common commercial policy of the EU. The fourth chapter describes the process and compares the main economic indicators of the Czech Republic before and after the access to the European Union (in years 1993-2003 and 2004-2007). There are no indicators from the year 2008 in the comparison, because of the data may have been affected by the world depression.
Slovenia in the EU

Slovenia gained its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. Its main goal was to become a member of the European Union, which was achieved in 2004. As the first of the new member countries it adopted the euro as its currency on 1 January 2007 and in the first half of 2008, Slovenia held the Presidency of the EU. The aim of this work is to describe the economic development of Slovenia (both as a part of Yugoslavia and after gaining its independence), specifics of accession negotiations with the EU and conditions of the Treaty of Accession. The work also includes the case study of Slovenian firm Gorenje Group. This company can be given as an example of successful expansion of Slovenian firm in the EU internal market.
Trade relations between EU and EFTA

This thesis focuses on trade relationship between European union and European free trade area. The first chapter describes reciprocal relationship between both integrations up to establishing co-operation in form of Europaen economic area. Second part enlarges principles and actual importance of EEA. The last chapter shows in detail movements of good, services and capital between EU and particular EFTA countries.
Trade relations between the EU and NAFTA countries

This bachelor thesis covers the trade relations between the European Union and countries participating in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The primary objective is to identify the main developments in formal coordination of EU relations towards the mentioned countries as well as to characterize real goods flows between them. This work describes the EU's different approach to establishing trade relations with each country. Furthermore, it supports the idea that the intensity of real commercial flows does not reflect the depth of formal trade agreements. Finally, this thesis also identifies certain similarities in the relations between the EU and the countries in question which are particularly related to EU's endeavor to reduce non-tariff barriers.

On the topic of development of information society in Europe with emphases on activities performed by the European Union. A short remark on origin and development of the concept of information society and general economic impact of using information and communication technologies. It brings together a summary of policies and strategies encouraging the development of information society carried out in between the years 2000-2010. A note on preparation of strategy on information society for 2011-2015. Financing programmes using assets of the budget of the European Union for financial period 2007-2013. European Commission and the Information Society and Media Directorate General provide the administrative process support and the background of the preparation for information society policies. An overview of the European statistical data on information society. A list of the European legislation concerning information society with an aim to support use of information and communication technologies.
Serbian National Interests and Entrance into EU in the Current Political Spectrum

The aim of this paper is to answer the question how the possible entrance of Serbia into EU fits into definition of national interest on the Serbian political scene. First, the theoretical formulation of the concept "national interest" is laid out. The second chapter includes description of fundamental foreign and political issues, which had to be solved after the fall of the previous regime. The third chapter characterizes current Serbian political system and programmes of main political parties. The fourth chapter compares official goals of the government with public opinion polls as regards the entrance of Serbia into EU. The second part of the paper is dedicated to description of particular steps of Serbia towards full membership and respective attitudes of political parties.
