Decentralized Autentication System Based on Blockchain
Mračna, Štefan ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Januš, Filip (advisor)
This work studies the effects of the integration of blockchain technologies into authentication systems, specifically biometric authentication systems for unlocking doors. The work analyzes different blockchain and authentication technologies and determines which of these technologies are appropriate for this purpose. The work also compares centralized and decentralized authentication systems. A decentralized authentication system which includes blockchain technologies is then proposed and a simplified version of the system (where individual devices in the system are represented by processes) is implemented. Testing of effectiveness, security, reliability and memory usage is then conducted under different conditions.
Modeling and Simulation of Incentive Mechanisms in Ethereum
Burianová, Tereza ; Fiedor, Jan (referee) ; Perešíni, Martin (advisor)
Tématem této bakalářské práce je poplatkový mechanismus v síti Ethereum, zejména změny představeny v EIP-1559. Cílem práce je zkoumat chování mechanismu a navrhnout případná možná vylepšení v případě nalezených nedostatků. Dříve používaný aukční systém vyžadoval libovolné nastavení výše poplatku uživatelem, což vedlo k přeplatkům a vysoké volatilitě výše poplatků. Cíle práce byly splněny a výsledky byly prezentovány.
Cryptocurrency – a modern kind of money
Virtual Currencies
Mlýnková, Veronika ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of virtual currencies based on the blockchain technology. The foundations of the cryptocurrency workings are explained on cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which is later described in a greater detail from technological point of view. In addition to the general workings of a bitcoin network, this thesis describes creation of bitcoin addresses, the composition of transactions and the way they are sign and verified. A broader view of cryptocurrencies is offered within the fourth chapter, with the classification into generations and explanation of terms coin, token and stable coin. Chapter Ethereum explains the meaning of smart contracts and decentralized applications. Within the thesis a laboratory task was performed, which describes the procedure for programming a simplified version of blockchain in Python. To summarize the discussed topic, an educational web application was created.
Management of free capital on the crypto market
Simonyiová, Marie ; Zavadil, Marek (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the subject Management of free capital inside the cryptocurrency market. First, selected cryptocurrencies are briefly described. Subsequently, their historical data are analysed. Finally, based on these findings, an appropriate strategy for the chosen company is formulated.
Development of MMORPG games in a decentralized environment
Polák, Marek ; Gemrot, Jakub (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis examines methods which could be used for developing MMORPG games so that there is no single entity that could arbitrarily control game mechanics, virtual assets or other game aspects. The theoretical part systematically analyzes the usual aspects of MMORPG games, then the principles of decentralized cryptocurrencies are presented, and one of them, Ethereum, is analyzed in more detail. Based on this theoretical knowledge, methods are proposed on how to use Ethereum to implement the identified aspects of MMORPG games, and the restrictions which must be imposed on these aspects are recognized. The practical part then introduces a specific implementation of MMORPG game on Ethereum, which demonstrates the above methods. In conclusion, the chosen approach is compared to the games with a common client-server architecture, especially in terms of complexity and gaming costs. 1
Aplikace na lokalizaci zařízení využívající blockchain
Symerský, Michal
The thesis deals with the creation of the application solution for device localization using blockchain. The first part of the thesis is an overview of blockchain platforms and existing projects working with localization and description of technologies used in the implementation. The second part deals with the creation of the solution which is divided into the mobile application, the server application and the blockchain part. The last part describes testing, results, evaluation of the whole solution and its use.
Deanonymization Heuristics for Cryptocurrencies
Anton, Matyáš ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The cryptocurrencies are growing more and more popular, both due to their independency on institutions and the feeling of anonymity they provide. This is, however, also accompanied by an increasing number of their abuse for criminal activities. This thesis explores the principles of current cryptocurrencies as well as techniques used for increasing anonymity of their usage. Based on the findings, it proposes a solution attemping to deanonymise activity in select cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain Abstraction Library
Gallovič, Ľubomír ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with cryptocurrencies and the underlying principles they are based on. It describes the blockchain technology and explores various cryptocurrencies that utilize it with the focus on their similarities and differences. The next part analyzes InsightAPI, the existing tool for real-time Bitcoin blockchain exploration. It then describes the proposed solution for the Ethereum blockchain explorer, highlights the implementation details, and shows results of its testing. The created tool allows the user to quickly gather information about desired blocks, users, and transactions of the Ethereum blockchain.
Identification of Cryptocurrency Users
Zrnčík, Henrich ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
abstract.en={The 3rd January 2009 is considered to be the beginning of the cryptocurrency era. This work will deal with one of the ways of obtaining information about cryptocurrency users. It will be done by retrieving it from public websites where users often knowingly or unknowingly publish their cryptocurrency's address for different purposes (donation accounts or online payments which include personal data) as a result of which it is possible to link their crypto account with their real identity. The information is obtained through web scrappings. The result is an implemented application capable of automated collecting of data about the identity of cryptocurrency users and its subsequent storage in a structured database.
