Business Process Management - Process Modeling
Kupka, Tomáš ; Zelená, Veronika (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Business Process Management, its development and fundamental paradigms in the field of BPM as BPR. The thesis also compares approaches to BPM. Furthermore, it defines the term "process" and describes its classification. The thesis also explains the concept of the process-driven organization, including its characteristics. An integral part of the thesis is the explanation of the holistic approach to BPM and its technical aspect, i.e. the business process modeling which deals with creating the diagrams classified by basic principles of object orientation. The thesis introduces general modeling language UML and its specification in the form of notation BPMN and Eriksson-Penker. Also there are shown few examples of diagrams used in the BPM. All of these findings are then used in the constructing of process models and diagrams in the defined research area of the particular organization.
Organizational process model
Šindelářová, Šárka ; Řepa, Václav (advisor) ; Saska, Jiří (referee)
This thesis covers with the topic of process management and organization modeling. The goal is to design a future state of process architecture in selected department of a multi-national company, which is based on ISO / IEC TR 29110-5-1-2:2011 for very small entities, complemented by techniques of agile methodologies. The final form of the future proposal includes the conceptual and detail design according to the aforementioned standard, supported by the selected agile techniques, adjusted for the results of the differential analysis of conceptual and detail design and current status. The theoretical part presents the issue of process management and modeling standards and a methodology for modeling and control of IT processes. The practical part is devoted to the application of the selected standard for IT management processes and agile techniques that support this standard. The proposed process architecture is modeled using the selected methodology MMABP and prescribed standards. The work can serve as an inspiration for the company that would be suited a combination of traditional and agile approaches to IT.

This thesis deals with the topic of process management and modeling. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first three chapters are theoretical. The first chapter covers the methods of process management. The second chapter describes the standards of process modeling. The third chapter is concerned with the MMABP method of process management and modeling, as developed at the University of Economics. The practical part comprises two chapters. Reengineering of businessman's processes
Sovka, Michal ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Kalina, Jaroslav (referee)
The goal of my dissertation is to make a businessman re-considering to work with the asssistence of IS for achievement of higher effectiveness of running processes. The main point of the businessman assistence is having their own IS. My dissertation is divided into two main parts. The first part describes the theoretical point of view of reengineering the processes of companies. At first I define the meaning of companie's process according to its categorization from its importance and usefulness point of view. According to this I have a proper look out to improving companie's processes and to development of processes in organization. The first part ends up with the methodical advance of modelling companie's processes and the description of notation used in the practical part. The second part of my dissertation is fixed on the solution of a factual problem. After identification of the problem I define and specify processes of a businessman which are more detailed simulated for their final analysis. At the end I propose a new usage of IS as the solution of found inefficiency and its impact on the changes of businessman's processes.
Process model of manufacturing company
Kuběna, Lubomír ; Řepa, Václav (advisor) ; Pálka, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with process modeling respectively application specific modeling methodology developed by prof. Ing. Václav Řepa Csc. for the selected company active in manufacturing. The main objective and part of the thesis forms creation of process model. It's preceded by introductory description of the selected company and its global long-term goals set by management, SWOT analysis revealing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, on the basis of which is elaborated a strategy to exploit opportunities for the development of strengths. Before analyzing the processes and the design of process model Balanced Scorecard analysis is realized. Within its four perspectives, I propose and summarize the identified targets, along with their metrics, current and desired state. Further it's followed by process analysis and elaboration of process models to global (Eriksson-Penker model) and detailed (BPMN notation) level. Models have added the descriptive tables and description and main points of the design are summarized in the end. The main objective of work is followed by others, represented by the comparison of designed model and current situation in company, where is implemented quality management system ISO 9001:2000 (comparing similarities and differences, problems of quality system, etc.) and assessment of enviromental maturity of the company and its functioning from process perspective, using the knowledge model Michael Hammer PEMM (Process & Enterprise Maturity Model). Information obtained from the analysis and designs are put into context with each other to ensure consistency of whole design and my thesis and summarized in Chapter Conclusion.
