Current trends in enterprise resource planning systems in the era of 4.0
KARLÍČEK, Pavel
This thesis analyses current trends in ERP systems from three perspectives. The first perspective is the mapping of scientific articles dealing with the given issue and the classification of the most frequently researched trends in Industry 4.0. Next view is the outlook of analytical companies on the most current directions of development in corporate information systems. Finally, the last perspective is the view of the customers themselves, i.e. key users of ERP systems, who are represented in the survey by local administrators. In the conclusion, individual points of view are compared and evaluated. Research, calculations and graphs point to the fact that the greatest development potential in ERP systems is the integration of artificial intelligence, while other trends have already exhausted their potential to a certain extent.
