Cost Optimization in the Construction Company

This thesis focuses on the explanation and description of selected methods used to optimize the costs involved in the construction industry. The main objective of the work is to directly apply one chosen method at a given construction company and by use of this process recommend changes ultimately leading to cost optimization. Company data, based on defined indices, was compared with the data from public institutions. The merit of the indices were individually evaluated resulting in recommended proposals for future development.
Business Intention of Construction Company focused on Timber Constructions

The thesis includes business intention of construction company in the form of a feasibility study. Planned company deals with the realization of timber-framed buildings that are built by hand directly on the construction site. The introductory part describes basic knowledge of the investment projects planning. One subchapter shortly describes the timber construction system. Parts of the business intention are oriented on corporate strategy, marketing, production technology, manpower, economic a financial analysis and risk management. In conclusion is an overall assessment of the project feasibility.
Value Added - Accounts nad Economical Aspects

Intention of this work is to draw closer accounting and economic aspects of value added. Value added is the value, which has increased a given output by own activity of an enterprise in comparison to the previous level. Information about its extent gives accountancy. Value added is a criterion how top executives manage given resources. At the same time it serves as base for calculation of gross domestic product (GDP), which is measuring economic efficiency of a country.This project consists of three thematic parts. The first part deals with accountancy. There are accountant standards, final accounts and connected financial statements. Furthemore there is calculation of value added cleared up.The second part deals with internal structure of enterprise. For the best achieving effect of value added, besides suitable technology, there is also very important the price setting. On this account there is a chapter devoting to calculation making. The third part is focused on economic accountancy. It describes standards of national accountancy, system of national accounts and data acquisition needed for calculation of macro-economic index. Methods are named for GDP calculation of which base makes value added.At the end of the work there are enclosures relating to particular themes and describing the work in detail.

The enterprise management with focus on personnel management in selected medium-sized enterprise

The name of the topic of this diploma thesis is The enterprise management with focus on personnel management in selected medium-sized enterprise. The main tasks of the thesis is to analyse the current situation of the enterprise management with focus on personnel management and to propose solutions to current problems and opportunities for improvement of the current situation. For analysis of the enterprise management and personnel management were used two research methods: a semicontrolled interview and a reseach method using questionnaires. The semicontrolled interview was applied to find out how management sees the current state of enterprise management and personnel management. The research method using questionnaires was applied to find out what would employees change to their satisfaction and to find out how employees see the current state of the personnel management. Altogether the employees are satisfied with the work. In general, the enterprise management and the personnel management in the selected enterprise can be evaluated as good and effective but with minor deficiencies. The management could be more open to change and respond to significant changes more quickly. To eliminate deficiencies were suggested the improvements of possibilities of proposing amendments by employees, to improve communication from the bottom up, support career development, training and staff development. For improving the atmosphere in the workplace and strengthening relationships was suggested organizing social event and sports day. Other proposed improvements in personnel management are more frequent appreciation of a job well done, streamlining remuneration by employee performance and ensure greater diversity of work tasks.
The implementation of GRC concept in Czech republic

The thesis focuses on a characterization of an integrated method of enterprise management called GRC (Governance, Risk management & Compliance), a description of its components in a relation to the enterprise management and explores software tools dedicated to support this approach to the management. The thesis gives examples of some of the most significant frameworks for the management of GRC's components and illustrates a real life use of this method on an example of two Czech companies.
