Automated control unit tester
Halgoš, Matúš ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This article presents the research and development behind the automated testing device tailored for electronic control unit (ECU) E040, which controls turbojet engine TJ40 to enhance efficiency and reliability in the testing phase of ECU. The proposed device offers significant advantages over traditional manual testing methods, including reduced testing time and improved accuracy. This paper will give the reader necessary information about TJ40 engine and E040 ECU, then will provide the overall concept design behind automated testing device. The subject of this work is a comprehensive view of the design of a single-purpose test device for a turbojet engine control unit. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theory of testing, then the theoretical analysis is described in which the basic information about the control unit and the needs of testing are presented. The output of this section are documents, test cases and test procedures. In the second part of the thesis, schematic design of the test equipment was created from the test procedures and the functions of the individual blocks were described in detail, followed by a description of the creation of the PCB layout. The last chapter takes the reader through the process of bringing up the designed test equipment and the design of the internal wiring.
Performance optimisation of turbocharged engine for Formula Student
Multiple-funktion steering wheel Formule Student
Paulus, Luboš ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The Master‘s thesis deals with a creating of display writers on multiple-function steering wheel Formule Student. It is mainly about dates transfered through RS232 or CAN bus from control unit of the Formule to microcontroller. First of all it is necessary to find out, which informations and a which way of displaying them are more useful and readable for drivers. This leads to another point - right choice of display writers, which will be used on the steering wheel. Creation of the design and construction of display device follows.
Internal combustion engine control in the LabView environment
Adamec, Vojtěch ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the control of a diesel internal combustion engine. The aim of the thesis was to make a methods overview of diesel internal combustion engines control, to develop an algorithm for a six-cylinder diesel engine control and then to program it in the LabView environment. The thesis also describes the calibration of sensors and engine control unit. The algorithm was tested using a programmed signal generator and an oscilloscope.
Měření výkonu motoru vybraných osobních automobilů na válcové zkušebně
JIRKA, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to determine engine performance parameters for selected passenger cars before and after the implementation of the software modification of the engine called chiptuning. Three passenger cars were selected for the experiment (Škoda Octavia, Kia Ceed GT-line and Škoda Superb), for which engine performance parameters were determined using dynamometers. At Škoda Octavia 94 kW and 301 Nm were measured. From factory values, power and torque increased by 45% and 43% respectively. When measuring the Kia Ceed GT-line, the power was set at 135,3 kW and 261 Nm. There was an increase of 31% in engine power and 8% in torque. In the case of Škoda Superb, the power was measured at 162,6 kW and 445,4 Nm. This vehicle also had a 15% increase in power and 11,5% in torque. In conclusion, the power and torque values increased after the chiptuning.

Fuel consuptiom monitor for car gas-engine
Klásek, Tomáš ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This work introduces readers into the principles of fuel injection and injection types in the modern combustion engines. The basic focus of this work is in the description of how the modern fuel injectors work. Then we describe the most important car sensors for our task. In the next part we will try to determine the normalized immediate fuel consumption by acquiring the data from the automobile. Finally, we will process the data by using an electronical platform and display them on a suitable indicator.
