Factors Impacting the Financial Performance of Firms - Multinational Comparison

The key objective of this thesis is to define the factors that fundamentally influence the economic performance of selected brewing companies in an international context. The thesis focuses on a comprehensive financial analysis and comparison of the business and financial performance of five leading European breweries: Plzeňský Prazdroj and its competitors. The methodology includes the use of standard financial analysis indicators such as profitability, liquidity, activity, and debt ratios, as well as the calculation of economic value added (EVA). The work also includes a regression analysis examining the impact of selected macroeconomic factors on the financial performance of the breweries. The results of the analysis reveal the dominant position of Plzeňský Prazdroj and identify the key factors affecting the economic performance of the entire industry.
Company performance in the context of sustainable investment criteria

Sustainability is gaining increasing relevance. Consumers are influenced by sustainability when making purchasing decisions. On the other hand, sustainability enhances competitiveness for companies. Yet, with the recent introduction of non-financial reporting obligations by the European Union, this topic is evolving. Companies now risk sanctions for failing to submit these reports, encountering challenges in securing loans, among other consequences. The thesis aims to assess a company's economic performance in the context of sustainability and sustainable investment. Sub-goals include compiling non-financial reports and showcasing a particular sustainable investment made by the selected company. The economic performance of the company was evaluated using financial analysis methods based on the company's financial statements. Despite some fluctuations in financial indicators, no concerning results were found for the company. Non-financial sustainability reports based on the ESRS methodology were proposed at work based on personal communication. Additionally, a sustainable investment project in the form of a 529 kWp photovoltaic power plant was further introduced at work. This plant provided financial benefits to the analyzed company through energy savings and revenue from electricity sales. Furthermore, it positively contributed to the environmental performance and sustainability of the company.
Economic performance of enterpris in the hotel industry with regard to capital structure

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to thoroughly assess the economic performance of a company in the tourism industry, or company in the hotel industry with regard to usability of foreign capital, using financial analysis. The first part of the thesis contains the theoretical background containing a description of the capital structure. Then includes a characterisation of the industry. It also defines financial analyses and its methods. Furthermore, the selected enterprise Hotel Srní in Šumava is first introduced and then the capital structure of this enterprise is analysed and its economic performance is evaluated. The main methods used for detection of the financial situation of the company are vertical and horizontal analysis, analysis of ratios and summary ratios. Then, the links between economic performance and capital structure are evaluated and the enterprise is compared with its competitors on the basis of profitability ratios. In conclusion, the results of the analysis are summarized and recommendations for the future development of the enterprise are formulated.
Comparision of Czech Macroeconomic Performance with Selected Countries

The bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the analysis of the Czech Republic economic efficiency in comparison with selected countries. The goal of the thesis is the economic efficiency evaluation of the CR with help of its confrontation with Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. In order to make it, there are described basic macroeconomic indicators at first and then there is also made an analysis of the economic efficiency of all countries of the Visegrad Four since 1989. Then a general evaluation is made with formulation of recommendations for improvement.

The second part of this thesis is dedicated to a practical implementation of these selected indicators related to a specific company. The last part introduces recommended solutions and measures based on the results obtained through research.
The Impact of COVID-19 Epidemic on the Firm Economic Performance

The bachelor thesis analyses the performance of a selected firm using relevant tools. The objective of the thesis is to find out the impact of the epidemic COVID-19 on the economic performance of the company and propose suitable solutions. The work presents the theoretical basis containing the definitions of a business performance , factors affecting economic performance and methods for calculating the financial analysis Firstly, the company Bosch Powetrain s.r.o. is briefly introduced and then the applied financial methods are described. The financial analysis includes calculations of indebtedness, profitability and liquidity and the data for the calculations was provided by the company. Finally, the results of the performance analysis are summarized and suggested measures to improve the business performance are described.
Work productivity and its effect on the economic performance of the company

The aim of the thesis is to find out whether work productivity has an effect on the economic performance of the company. The company in which the connection is being investigated is called HR metal and is based in Brno. The goal is achieved with the help of two analyses. In the first one, the productivity of work in the company is analyzed. Value-added work productivity and production-based work productivity are calculated. In the second analysis, the financial situation of the company is examined, which is determined from the results of financial analysis calculations. Share and difference indicators are calculated, and finally a comprehensive financial analysis is made, which takes into account all economic aspects at once and is more comprehensive. After all sub-analyses have been calculated, the curves of summary indicators and work productivity are shown in one graph, and the main deviations of these two curves and their trend are examined. At the end of the thesis, it is evaluated whether the goal was achieved and what was found during the analyzes and their evaluation.

Typology of processes for the creation of new companies within the manufacturing industry in Czechia: a comparative analysis of two regions

This thesis contributes to the currently frequent topic of economic geography and explains the processes for the creation of new companies in the Pilsen and Zlín regions between years 2009-2011. The choice of these two regions reflects their similar structural characteristics within the firm sector and their different horizontal position. The aim of this work is to find out through which processes in the monitored regions new companies are being created within the manufacturing industry and to which extent these processes affect the subsequent economic performance of companies during the first five years of existence. For this purpose, a typology of the creation of new companies based on their initial characteristics was designed and processed. These initial characteristics reflect both the regional dimension in terms of the origin of the key resources for the creation of a new company relative to the hosting region and the consequent different competencies and possibilities of newly created companies. Despite the initial assumptions, the results showed that the compared regions are practically the same within this issue.
