Navrátilová, Monika ; Plevová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Jeníček, Jakub (referee)
Title: Use of Mulligan Mobilization Techniques in Patients with Distortion of Ankle Joint Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with distortion of ankle joint and Mulligan Concept application issues. The main purpose of the thesis is to use the Mobilizations with Movement techniques (hereinafter referred to as MWM) in patients who suffered ankle joint sprain. With the thesis being divided into theoretical and practical parts, the former one presents the issue of ankle joint using anatomic point of view and kinesiology viewpoint. The following chapter deals with ankle joint distortion with regards to its most frequent cause, a risk of development of CAI (chronic ankle instability), appropriate treatment and physiotherapy. At the end of theoretical part is presented Brian Mulligan and his concept. The practical parts consists of casuistry on two themes. Both of them include initial examination, therapy goals definition, description of physiotherapy intervention and final examination. In order to be able to assess therapy results, the author chooses the Knee to Wall Test and Two-scale-stand Test methods as parts of both initial and final examination. In addition, the author compares initial and final values of ankle joint locomotion extent goniometric gauging, lower limbs girth anthropometric gauging, pain...
The issues and therapy of ankle distorsion involving the muscles of the deep stabilizing system
BOSÁKOVÁ, Kristýna
My bachelor work is dedicated to problematics and possibilities of therapy for patients after a distortion of the ankle. This topic intrigued me, because it is frequent in outpatient kind of therapies. The second reason for choice of this subject matter was my interest in running where the ankle distortion is a common injury.

Title: Case Study of the Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnostis of a sprained ankle Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the theory, followed by a case study of the rehabilitation of a sprained ankle. The theoretical portion summarizes the findings and approaches of ankle injury treatment. The following section introduces a case study of a patient with a sprained ankle, specifically the application of the theoretical portion in practice, in the format of a case report. Methods: This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: general and special. The general part sums up the theoretical research conducted, referencing anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanic and traumatology of the ankle. The next part includes functional examination around the ankle and follow-up treatment and rehabilitation deemed appropriate after a sprained ankle. This special part of this thesis presents the case report of a patient in detail. This case report was conducted during professional practice at The Centre of Locomotive System Treatment (CLPA). It was conducted from the 15th of January to the 2nd of February in 2018 under the guidance of Mgr. Jakub Hoskovec. The case report proposed both a short-term and long-term treatment plan. Furthermore, the therapy process is described in...
Gender and Media in the Age of Post-Modernity: Revealing Gender Stereotypes in the Contemporary Czech Advertising Discourse
Olbertová, Martina ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
ENGLISH SUMMARY The main objective of this thesis was to provide a complex perspective on the mutual relationship of gender and media in the age of post-modernity with a special attention to the stereotypical gender portrayal presented to us by the contemporary Czech advertising discourse. We chose to demonstrate this problematics through the methods of semiotic analysis on the analytical sample of 5 advertisements (consisting of selected TV commercials) representing various aspects of stereotypical gender images appearing in the today's Czech advertising contents. We then subjected these selected advertisements to the analytical methods in pursuit of finding the answers to the questions related to the media image of men, women and our society that the stereotypical gender depictions contained in these advertisements help to construct. Although many of these advertisements appear to be openly sexist or even misogynic on the first sight, using the mechanisms of semiotic analysis we came to a rather opposite conclusion proposing the analyzed contents are rather pro-feminine tending toward an extensive masculine critique. This result, however, is based mainly on the mechanisms of oppositional reading of the subjected texts. On the other hand, it is presumable that the "average media consumer" not having access...

Křížová, Eliška ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Charvát, Robert (referee)
Author: Mgr. Eliška Křížová Title: Case report of physiotherapy care of patient with distortion of the ankle Objectives: The objective of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the theory of the topic, summarise the knowledge in the area of complex rehabilitation of patients with distortion of the ankle, and introducing this knowledge in practice. Also, to learn to conduct regular therapy based on prepared short and long term rehabilitation plan and to compile a case report of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: In the general part of the thesis we use the background research for anatomical, kinesiological and biomechanical findings of the ankle joint, and also findings about ankle distortion, its diagnostics, treatment and therapy. In the special part we describe in detail the case report of a patient with a distortion of the ankle, treated in the course of a professional experience at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague under the supervision of Bc. Robert Charvát. We use several physiotherapeutic methods to improve the patient's health. We provide input and output kinesiological analysis, proposal of short and long term rehabilitation, and we detail individual therapies and their assessment. Results: We fulfilled the set objectives. We compiled the theoretical...

Possibilities of physiotherapy for football players with talocrural joint distortion
HAMAJDOVÁ, Barbora
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy after distortion of the ankle joints in football players. It deals with the issue of injuries of the ligamentous apparatus of the ankle joint, its most frequent causes, the mechanism of the injury, the consequences of the injury and, last but not least, its treatment with the use of physiotherapeutic means. The first aim is to map the possibilities of physiotherapy and to design a physiotherapeutic plan. The second aim is to map the training plan and the environment in which athletes move and to suggest its modifications and exercises preventing the injury. The methodology of the work is done in the form of qualitative research. As a research group, I chose 3 players of the football A team of the Vysočina Regional Championship. The criterion for inclusion in the research was once or multiple times suffered distortion of an ankle. The research includes a semi-structured interview, a kinesiological examination, and a data analysis. The results are processed in the form of casuistry, according to which individual physiotherapeutic plans were subsequently designed and compiled. Furthermore, a mapping of the training plan and the environment in which the athletes move was done. After the analysis, I recommended modifications of both. The bachelor thesis can be considered to be a source of information on the issue of ankle distortion and it can also serve as educational material for both the general public and professionals. The work could be a guideline for football players who want to improve the stability of their ankles and thereby reduce the frequency of injuries. In addition, it can also help footballers while changing their training schedule.

Concretely, it compares and evaluates the differences between the treatment with long-term fixation and the functional therapy during I. and II. degree of ligament injuries. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part of study gives basic informations about the ankle joint. It deals with traumatology of soft tissues of the ankle joint especially the mechanism of injury and its classification, diagnostics and advantages and disadvantages between long-term immobilization and functional therapy. The most frequently used methods and physiotherapeutic approaches, which have a great influence on patient's condition are also mentioned here. The section about instability of the ankle joint is included as well. The practical part of study contains a methodology, basic questions, goals from which criteria for selection of the patients arise. There is a questionnaire, which was distributed in the Czech Republic and Canada and two case studies whereas each of them had different...
