Specifics of Individual Planning of Diakonie ČCE Center Rolnička
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Milena
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the process of individual planning in social services. The main aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out how the individual planning is carried out in Diakonia ČCE, in the Rolnička centre, in social services in Tábor. With regard to the main objective of the thesis, I have chosen three research questions. Who is involved in the preparation of the individual plan of the client? What experience do key workers have with the individual planning process? The empirical section describes the research for which a qualitative research strategy was chosen. The data required for the research was collected through semi-structured interviews. The research sample consisted of ten informants from among the key workers of the individual social services of the Rolnička centre in Tábor. Subsequent data analysis was conducted using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Five themes emerged from this analysis. These are: the key worker's experience of the individual planning process at his/her workplace, the importance of the training course for the course of individual planning, how the key worker perceives the client's autonomy during individual planning, how the key worker perceives the client during individual planning, and the key worker's relationship with his/her key clients. The research showed that the method of person-centred individual planning called Map is used in the social services of the Rolnička centre in Tabor. The themes of the IPA analysis then led to the answers to the remaining two research questions. The client, the client's key worker, the social worker, the head of the social service and in some cases the client's parents or guardians are mainly involved in drawing up the individual plan. Key workers then described their relationships with their key clients, their perceptions of the client's autonomy, or the client's feelings during the individual planning process. Training in individual planning was also significant from their perspective. The information obtained from the research of this bachelor thesis could serve as a basis for supplementing the existing methodologies of individual planning of social services in the Rolnička centre in Tábor.

Koudelka, Jaroslav ; Štica, Petr (advisor) ; Sládek, Karel (referee)
The theological basis for the charitable activities of the Christian Church. The thesis focuses on the charitable work of the Christian Church today known as Diakonia, characterised as a service of love to others, which is currently considered one of the key, i.e. constitutive elements, of the fundamental structure of the Church. Based on analyses of the relations between theological disciplines, particularly Biblical, systematic theology and Christian social ethics, it identifies the Christian Church's idea of charity as the communion of love in the service of those who suffer. A fundamental defining characteristic of the Diakonia charity is God's love and the structure of the assessment system that unfolds from it that is specific and essential for the Christian Church. The Work of Diaconia. A Short Overview of the History of Diaconia, Czech Diaconia and Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren.
Dolanská, Jiřina ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Hanych, Pavel (referee)
Diakonie as one of the most important services combines helping the needy and spiritual support. This service was already established in the early church and it focused on both material and spiritual area. The diploma thesis "The Work of Diaconia" with the subtitle "A Short Overview of the History of Diaconia, Czech Diaconia and Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren" describes diaconia from the point of view of the New Testament where it becomes helping a fellow man with the motivation of faith, i.e. following Jesus Christ. In next parts, diaconia is described from the period of early church until the Reformation. It is followed by the early days of diaconia in the Czech lands, the role of Kaiserswerth institute in Germany where Czech girls studied and some of them then used their knowledge about taking care of the ill and educating in their diaconic activities in the Czech lands. However, many of them continued living abroad. Priest Václav Šubert significantly contributed to the foundation of a first diaconic institution, girls' school or an orphanage in Krabčice, the birthplace of diaconia in the Czech lands. He and our first two deaconesses, Marie Karafiátová and Eleanora Kašparová, occupy more space in this work. In the next part, a historical development of Czech Diaconia...
Transformations of Diakonia in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren
ŠIMR, Karel
The thesis aims to contribute to the theoretical grounding of diakonia as the Christian-oriented practice of helping in modern society. Methodologically the author works with the social systems theory developed by Niklas Luhmann, which enables a differentiated description of the multidimensional reality of Christian helping action in its historical development and present situation. In the first part, the topic is theologically grounded ? biblically, historically and dogmatically. Then the main features of social systems theory are presented. Emphasis is placed on the dual ? primary (functional) and secondary (social) ? differentiation in society and its consequences for understanding diakonia. In this context diakonia is observed as the structural coupling of the systems of social help and Christianity and subsequently defined as helping in gospel perspective, which can be observed at micro-, meso- and macro-levels, i.e., in the context of interaction, organization and society ? and at the same time different theories must be developed for Christian helping at the individual levels. In the second part, the sociological description of the differentiation of diakonia is first confronted with theologically-oriented descriptions of differentiation in the context of Christianity and, following especially Wichern?s division of diakonia into civic, free and ecclesial, attention is focused on the ?tripod of diakonia? in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in the form of Diaconia of ECCB, Christian service and diaconate. This multi-focus view of diakonia makes it possible to reflect on its mutually irreducible layers and search for adequate theories for each of them. In the formation of the Christian dimension of the organization emphasis is placed on cultivating an adequate organization culture. Interaction has to do with the mutual ?neighborly? help within a community. The specific function of diaconate is identified in constructing bridges between the ecclesial level of Christianity and its connection with the system of social help, as well as other partial systems in society ? and in this sense it is perceived as again highly relevant. In the concluding chapter, the communication-based approach of social systems theory is correlated with the practical-theological paradigm of gospel communication. In this context diakonia is understood as an inseparable part of ?gospel communication?.
